I wanted to call ahead to see if they keep a mac part in stock, but they don't answer the phone, it just goes to a message saying 'we can't take your call' at 11am on a Wednesday - not great is it for a shop

Quoted £1200 to ?fix? my iPhone 14 Pro Max, staff basically wrote off the phone saying it would require all new internals and tried to sell me the latest model. I took it elsewhere and it turned out to need only a battery at a cost of £69. Avoid like the plague! I am now writing this review on my ?written off? phone now working as new.

Read this review and judge for yourself if this store isn?t a scam disguised as an Apple service:
The battery of my old 2018 Mac was reaching the end of its life. I decided to take it to the store to have it replaced. Since my computer is my main work tool, I was basically on forced downtime without it, so I brought it in just before leaving on a week-long trip abroad.
Once there, the staff told me the repair would only take 3 days, so I could pick it up right after my vacation. When I got back, I called them, and they told me the battery still hadn?t arrived and that I?d need to wait another 3 days. I had no choice but to take 3 more days off work. After those 3 days, the store called me again to say that the new delivery date was in 3 weeks!
I asked to cancel the order and get my computer back.
Here?s the outcome:
1. Three wasted days off work
2. £90 lost
3. No solution offered (since the part would no longer arrive at the store once the order was canceled)
All this for a service that was originally supposed to take just three days.
Isn?t this a scam?
Be careful when bringing your computer to these thieves.

Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Were able to solve my problem despite it getting close to closing time on a Sunday. Highly recommend for apple product repairs.

Horrific experience, super nasty. Stay away! Scam. Manager yelled at me when I misunderstood what he said and was super condescending and rude. Kindness is so much easier, will be writing corporate because no one should feel intimidated and threatened by an employee! When I raised my voice back he started to laugh which was so creepy. Ladies especially beware! r
