(Noisy, unclean, poor service)
I stayed more than a week at this place and i am surprised at it being part of IHG hotel series.
The rooms are not clean to the standard of a 4-star hotel. The towels, sheets, etc. had marks and bugs sometimes. The cleaning staff are come in at 8-9 a.m despite having a sign on the door to not enter (daily occurrence).
And the beds are the worst as they are extremely caved in and we tried a couple. We changed rooms due to noise complaints which was first ignored on the phone, but after confronting the reception that they were no longer answer our calls, we were able to find a ?solution? to change rooms but still it was uncomfortable. Very bizarre stay.
Oh and it?s unfathomable to have someone help with luggage there sometimes, but after you insist they call someone. The person who helps with our luggage dropped my carry-on from the top of the trolly with a bang and not a single apology. Very very strange.

This hotel manages the rare trick of feeling like a chic boutique hideaway despite its generous size. The service has been nothing short of exceptional: everything is handled with warmth, efficiency and an effortless smile.
A special shout-out to Max, the maître d? in the restaurant, whose thoughtful attention made every meal a pleasure. The food is truly amazing as well. Highly recommended for anyone seeking style, comfort and genuinely welcoming hospitality.

Charging guests £25 a day to park at the hotel, who have no choice and have already paid roughly £200 a night is a rip off.
It's a shame because the staff were really great. Room was ok, nothing special. A lovely walk behind the hotel, along the river into town.

Do not stay here! They do not abide by their 24 hour cancellation policy and engage in scammy practices. They refused me a receipt which is a direct violation of the Consumer Rights Act of 2015.

Eldhose was our server for dinner and he was excellent!! Kind, attentive, and checked on us often even though he was very very busy. Our food was wonderful too, but Eldhose was that extra reason for our complete enjoyment.

The walls are paper thin, I can hear people talking in the hallways, people dragging their luggage outside my room window over the cobblestone or dragging them over the staircase.
The staff are nice.

The outside is very nice but inside the room is awful.
The 281.00£ room:
?Smells of mildew
?The furniture is outdated and beaten up
?The woodwork is damaged and globbed with caulk
?The lighting is harsh
?USB port on one side of the bed only
?The bath fixtures are old and discolored
?BIG SPIDERS (I hate spiders)
I could go on, but you get the picture. IHG should be embarrassed. In conclusion, if you like yourself, go somewhere else.

Had a great stay, the room was lovely would have been nice to have a robe and a mini bar / fridge. Enjoyed a meal at the restaurant fresh and tasty fab service thanks Eldhose was very friendly! Location spot on!

I travel extensively and stay in hotels worldwide each year. I chose this hotel as it was listed among the recommended hotels by my school. Unfortunately, it turned into the worst hotel experience I have ever had.
Our credit cards were stolen from my girlfriend?s purse, and all of our cash, secured in my wallet at the bottom of my suitcase, was also taken. The only time these valuables were left unattended together was a 90-minute window while my girlfriend was at the spa. At that moment, only hotel staff would have known the room was empty.
Instead of treating this as the serious security breach it was, hotel management dismissed our concerns, insisting we had simply ?lost? our belongings. This response was both irresponsible and insulting.
We filed a police report, and investigators concluded that someone had clearly entered our room during that time. Yet, the hotel?s CCTV system was so poor in quality that it failed to provide any usable evidence, another sign of negligence in guest safety.
What makes this experience unacceptable is not only the theft itself, but the hotel?s refusal to acknowledge or properly handle the situation. Their lack of accountability and inadequate security measures left us with lasting financial and emotional consequences.
As a result, I will never stay at an IHG property again and strongly caution others against doing so.
