“I had the serendipitous occasion to drop into this wonderful shop a couple of weeks ago. What made it wonderful was the young lass and her encyclopedic range of knowledge related to the shelved spirits. I so enjoy meeting a professional who loves their work and so freely gives that joy to others. Due to upcoming travel, I could only purchase a small bottle of recommended Kilchoman, which is now a favorite. We drank the Kilchoman at Belleau Wood, Normandy, and Point du Hoc for our fallen countryman. This shop is now connected to those memories. Very highly and assiduously recommend.”

“Just off the ferry from Spain and we live in Cumbria, so we stopped here to break the journey for tomorrow as it was getting late. We're tired and check in by Ali was fast and efficient. Our breakfast and dinner needs were sorted immediately and we've just shared a really tasty pizza before bringing a glass of wine up to our room. Only one towel in the room which is a bit of a bug bear for me in Premier Inns. It happens every time. One towel for 2 occupancy. This was sorted by Ali though and we have been given ample towels to bring back up! Quick thanks to the young lady on the bar, think it was Louisa. Very helpful. Thanks”

“Lovely shop with lots and lots of alcohol. A little limited on snacks and food items but they still have a decent selection. (For example no dip for Crisps)Alcohol wise they have lots to choose from. The exterior of shop could do with a revamp but to me it’s not important what the outdoors looks like. It’s the stock, prices and friendly of staff all of which are of good quality”
