Ridiculous opening hours for people who have to work. Supposedly offers a service but only open 9.30.-4.30 Monday to Friday. What a joke.

I went to Beeston to try to avoid going into Nottingham HSBC branch. Its inconvenient and removes the cost of parking. As the branch hasn't been shut, I assumed it still provided traditional counter banking services. I was wrong. Hsbc. Sut the city centre branch and keep real full service banks in the community

Terrible customer service, apart from waiting an hour to be spoken to, the girl we saw re opening a new account was so rude, she never even spoke, I had to ask her if she was playing Solitaire on her laptop due to the ignorance and lack of ANY conversation. She would not make eye contact with us, so cold and unfriendly. Her name was Gabriella I think, she needs some serious customer service training. Shame on you HSBC, get your front line staff trained properly ASAP

Since West Bridgeford branch has closed I looked up Google and found this HSBC branch at Beeston. But be warned, when I arrived and looked for a counter to make a deposit I was informed by a most unhelpful person on an information desk that Beeston is a ?cashless? bank. Yes you read correctly, a cashless bank! Without a bank card you can?t make a cash deposit also no coins can be deposited, even for a business account.

My daughter tried to deposit money into her account accompanied by her Dad. She was told by the rude woman on the desk that there were no cashiers working and to use the machines instead, and only to deposit notes, not coins. The machine would only accept one note at a time and when the final note was inserted the machine malfunctioned and did not return the cash!! An employee opened the machine to return the money and said that no deposits could now be made as the machine would have to be fixed. She ended up using the post office to deposit money the following day.

Please note, this is now a digital services branch, so there are no counters, just machines. The nearest cash service branch (with counters) is in Long Eaton, and the nearest full service branch is on Clumber Street in Nottingham.

Unimpressed: front podium lady was quite rude and dismissive of both my request and the person in front of me. This is not a bank anymore. Theres a podium/ reception, a few booths where u can talk to advisors if there are any and a row of cash machines. Probably about to close so we can all wait hours in a phone queue or talk to a robot on live chat. No thanks

Waited patiently for the branch to open at 9.30am. At 9.33 a lady opened the door after putting her mug of tea/coffee down first. So it wasn?t the professional start to the branch visit I expected:/ I wanted to pay in some cash. Not a difficult task you would imagine, after all I was in a bank! However, there are no longer cashier positions in the branch, just machines instead. Because I hadn?t taken my bank card with me, I was unable to pay my cash in. I?ve been a customer at Beeston branch for more than 40 years. I wasn?t informed that the manned tills were to be closed.I know it?s the 21st century, and actually I prefer to use Apple Pay, but being unable to deposit cash without a bank card is totally unacceptable. I was told I could go to the Post Office, but that I?d need my bank card there too, so a pointless alternative to be told about.I expect better HSBC.Much better service when the bank was Midland back in the 60s & 70s, when, by the way, I worked there.

The bank was closed yesterday, lots of disgruntled customers outside. Why wasn't there a note of explanation/support on the door? Today there appeared to be one unfortunate person on their own! How many more customers can you afford to loose? Also, why are there so few reviews??

Staff are extremely incompetent, in particular a staff member called Joshua Heyman. He had one job, to make a transfer and he misspent the swift code. Told him to change the mandate, we signed everything and 5 days after, no mandate have been submitted. Complete waste of time.

Went in when the branch opened and there was no one at the kiosks. Took a while to speak to someone only to be told I can only pay in notes and not coins today. Not very helpful! Other times when I?ve gone in for help/queries I?ve just been directed to their website which is equally as unhelpful!

I'm a small business. I buy from abroad and in line with the Government Brexit preparation I obtained a deferred Duty and VAT authorization from HMRC. They need a guarantor for £6k, which I can pay even in cash. So I approached my bank HSBC. I've been their customer for both personal and business for many years, however the Business Specialist at my local branch (Matthew D Wells) won't even consider my request because my turnover is less than £2m. IF YOU ARE A SMALL BUSINESS STAY FAR FROM HSBC THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT BIG CUSTOMERS
