“Very little choice in this shop now, many items are no longer sold at all. A recent move around of all items means that the ceiling signs are not where things actually are anymore. Tills are a nightmare most days and only a handful of the staff are nice or even civil.”

“Heron Foods Amble provide a range of reasonably priced items including a small range of vegetarian/vegan. Staff are friendly and safety measures put in place due to covid. There are good priced ice cream, sweets etc which are much more expensive elsewhere.”

“Like Aladdin's cave. Looks small from out side, but has a wide variety of items inside. Definitely worth popping in. From bread, to dairy, frozen, deli counter, alcohol or just a snack. Fab shop + staff are lovely too.”

“I'm a regular Lidl shopper, member of the club card etc. I'm increasingly price sensitive, and Lidl are always the cheapest option between the other 2 available supermarkets in Alnwick.I'm writing this review as Morpeth isn't my usual Lidl, and whilst the offerings are the same wherever the Lidl, customer service does vary, which brings me to the reason for this 5* review. The till operative was operating at the platinum standard. The couple in front of me had picked up a damaged item which the operator identified, took off the belt and suggested they get a replacement. One of my items (packet of wraps 25% cheaper than Morrisons) had a damaged wrapping envelope, she again took it off the belt and sent me off for a replacement. In addition to servicing her own customers, as the queue lengthened, (busy pre bank holiday Saturday) she got another till opened up. Great service.”

“The co-op is a great store in my opinion, the fresh produce is great, the variety is there, the price's are good and if you struggle with money the difference on some items balance's out in comparison to going in to a local town and online especially for top up shops. The staff are friendly, and helpful and good people who deserve a bit of recognition! Having the co-op membership card is a great feature and can be used well when you put your mind to it.”

“Great community feel in this place, can be a bit slow if you're in a rush under normal conditions, but I bet it's a god send in the pandemic for some elderly people giving them an opportunity for a natter.”

“Busy little place and a big carpark for as many shops. Staff member at the til was friendly without being familiar. Both staff on the shop floor were busy stacking shelves etc. Liked it. Not enough time there to ramp upto 5 star but next time maybe”

“Conviente to the local estates nearby or if you're on way home outside of Morpeth. Not the cheapest price's around but does regularly have offers on most items. Wheelchair accessible parking and entrance. Opening times are Monday-sunday 07:00am - 11:00pm”

“The best coop going! Always have everything in you could think of or need in a rush. The staff are lovely and there’s a post office inside that’s open the same hours as the coop which is amazing!”

“Opened late 2021 so it's brand new, bright and clean at time of writing. All you'd expect to see in a co-op store. Coffee machine, hot food, self check outs and exterior cash point. The car park is a bit tight, so please take your time and be patient with others.”
