“On Friday 31st March I succumbed to a very painful and extensive attack of shingles . At 85 I am not an early riser so when my daughter rang for an appointment there were none left . However the reception staff were brilliant and with what must have been considerable effort they rang back with an emergency slot. I attended the surgery unwashed,half dressed and with a very bad hair day!I was treated with extreme courtesy and patience by Dr Ruth Gertig who took care to explain every step of the treatment in spite of the fact that her schedule was crammed. So in this era of complain, complain( I am guilty of this myself )may I just offer my sincere thanks to the Reception staff and Dr Gertig who saved me from a weekend in hospital corridors .”
