Not professional! After trying 4 times to switch to Virgin we made a specific appointment at 9.30 am (opening time). First employee assumed we were there for something else, after explaining for the 4th time what we wanted we were eventually told we would need to speak to someone else who was the only person trained to do this but she was busy with someone else, despite making an appointment with us. We left at 10am without switching.

Im giving it one star coz i cant leave zero. Awful, unfriendly, deliberately awkward staff, made to feel like we were criminals when we didnt even want money out, just book marked up! Despite having about 6 pieces of identification they refused! Utterly pathetic branch and clearly not wanting customer contact as only one counter service open despite queue out the door.

Rude and unhelpful. Three of them chatting behind the counter and one on the desk when you go in. Refused to take my cheques to deposit in my account. I had to use the machine. The one on the desk would help me. Why wouldn't they do it at the counter. I was the only person in the place. Used to be so friendly and helpful in there. What happened to good customer service.

A week after mum mums death. I received the death certificates. I called into Cramlington branch too start closing my mums account. What a disgusting branch not 1 Ounce off compassion. The girl took me into a side off when on computer took some details. Then said iwill copy the death certificate but I will keep your card it needs to be destroyed. The way she spoke too me was uncaring and without any care at all. Totally disgusted in this branch. I called into nationwide 30 minutes earlier and what a difference caring thoughtful and respectful and very helpful

Only one cashier on Saturday 1st October 22 queue was out the door and another 3 staff just standing not good why could they not help ?

Been at this bank for over 20 years from it being northan rock and now it?s a joke can ring to speak with someone and calling the 03 numbers is even worse been trying for 3 days now to speak with someone time to look elsewhere!

Extremely busy.Waited fifteen minutes to be seen. Despite my visit to a branch being required by Virgin Money,it didn't prove possible to achieve anything. The special dedicated telephone number has not answered any of my calls over the last three days. Not happy.
