After my referral, he stayed in touch to ensure the hospital appointment went smoothly. Really poor service. I used to get my son?s glasses here but will never be back now. My son?s prescription changed and his old lightning mcqueen glasses fit better than the new spiderman ones he wanted on his last prescription. Specsavers discontinued these glasses but i still had his old frames. When his prescription was done the old frames were sent off to make sure the lenses would fit. I bought a pair of the frames off ebay as the arms were slightly tatty hoping that when we had the lenses that they could just be swapped over. Our appointment was made for 2 weeks past ordering them and was called to say they hadn't arrived we would receive a txt when they were done. Me and my son were going on holiday the following week so went in to chase them up as heard nothing. They were there but no message to let us know of that. Apparently I wasn't the first to say they hadn't received a message so if theres issues with that part of your system heres an idea ?. RING ! The frames i bought were clearly specsavers stock they must have just sold on as they still had the specsavers stickers on the glass lenses and numbers on the arms. Long story short i wasn't going to ask for the lenses to be changes as when we got the glasses back they seemed to have sort of been tidied up a bit and looked ok. Then on the last day of the holiday my son snapped the arm off by mistake and unfixable where he done it. We were travelling back the following day with my 7 year old son starting school the next day so first stop before dropping him off was specsavers to explain the situation and try and get them. Wouldn't touch them as weren't supplied by specsavers (but they couldn't order them in) although she thought i just picked them off the shelf with the stickers on because if anything happened and were damaged the would be liable and wasn't going to take that risk. I said thats fine if anything happens i wont hold you responsible still wouldn't help. Also i would have payed for this to happen but still no help. Disgrace considering its a 7 year olds eyes we are talking about. With school starting the following day and a snapped pair of glasses i chanced my luck at boots across from specsavers. Explained the situation of what happened he's starting school tomorrow and specsavers wont help i only need the lenses changed into the new frames and I know I didn't get them here but I'm willing to pay. The optician rolled his eyes at what had happened and helped straight away although he said if anything had happened like the frames broke he couldn't fix as wasn't supplied by them same as specsavers but i said thats fine again. Changed them no problem in minutes shaped the arms to his face and everything was fine. Didn't even want payment for them when I offered he said he couldn't accept so I said put it in the charity box on the counter if he wanted i didn't want it back as they done us a massive favour. Next prescription is going to boots. They were much more helpful and we didn't even get the glasses there. Specsavers need to have a word with yourselves if it was about the money for 1 pair of child's frames when i was willing to pay to have them changed !

I'm very happy to be able to give 5 stars after my pleasant experience here today. Previously I would be pushed to have awarded 2 stars! Not a good atmosphere. Felt herded around like
an item, not a human. Being pressured into having everything under the sun included in my lenses and certainly did not feel I 'mattered' but my money did! Couldn't wait to get out of the store.
I had actually been thinking seriously of changjng away from this branch after my previous bad experience with them, but now pleased I gave them another chance.
The whole atmosphere in the shop was light and friendly. My Optician was just lovely, put me at ease and explained everything, best route to take and treated me with care and respect.
I was actually not going to purchase my newly needed glasses here today based on my previous experience, but they had a brilliant offer on, and the lovely Molly who helped me choose my frames, listened to my needs and affordable costs with such patience and understanding, I left the shop a lot lighter in step (and wallet!) than previously. Thank you Molly, you are an absolute credit to your branch and to yourself.

Brilliant opticians wouldn't go anywhere else. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The optician was very clear and goes at the pace you want, always patient wth clear instruction. Excellent visit as usual. Will see you in a few years.
