“Dear Team at McBride’s Retail, Thank you for taking a stand for public decency against the disrespectful Social Media post by one of your employees, specifically POLISH GAINS . I’m so proud and grateful that you’ve chosen to make a stand against such distasteful opinions. The dismissal of the offending employee and the very public announcement of your stand is admirable. Thank you. We’ve been customers since 1989, when Mr McBride kindly donated a box of food to the wake of Constable Stephen Montgomery . To my mind McBrides not only upholds traditionally honest retail values but also maintains fair and impartial practices across all communities . Well done !”

“Why say you are opened to 11pm when you are only going to go close at 9pm ? What if you are a busy mum who was walking down to the shop for their baby at the only time they get the chance to? Which was exactly what I was doing! Overall one of my favourite shops though. Go there.”

“Might be biased but l dont think theres a better run shop in ireland. Shopping done in less than time it would take to travel to and park in omagh or even the time taken to order on line and wait on delivery. Fresh, good value, very convienent supports local causes, our kids and our elderly. Saves my blood pressure, time and fuel.”

“One of the best shops in town... The butcher section looks incredible,,, im not much of a cook so never tried it but just looking at the fantastic range I bet it's great... They sell some amazing wine in here I can't find elsewhere in town ,,, booze is average price point , and if they included a few extra choices like premixed JD/cola I'd give it 6⭐”

“Great breakfast in this place ,,, could be only quick breakfast place that actually asks you how you want your eggs cooked,,, then they freshly prepare as requested. ..?.. has an off license in store which makes this place even better”

“Only started coming here after the revamp ,,they installed an off-licence ,,, typically price point and average selection ...but staff are great and if your stuck for smokes ect this is only shop in town open 24hours... Not for booze though ☹️ they stop selling at 11pm”

“I purchased ribeye steaks today that were from local Hereford at Eurospar Carrickmore. I have not tasted a steak so good in a long time. It was perfectly cut, looked great and the marbling was excellent. The taste was tender, succulent and unreal to be honest. Please compliment your local supplier (farmer) Well done Jack and Richard. I have judged steaks for years and in fact judge the best steaks in Ireland every year and by far this steak was exceptional. I am looking forward to trying the boneless rib joint tomorrow for New Years Day.”
