“The staff are always very helpful.

As a disabled person I find thier smart scan app makes my shopping experience a lot easier.

Although there is no EV charging at all and none at the petrol station either, which is very important in 2025!”

“Store is well organised and well stocked for the size of itGreat selection of cheese and wine. Some fresh baked goods are available.Staff was friendly and queues moved quick. The store is busy and the parking lot is small so it can be tricky to get parking if it's busy”

“Thanks for having a vinted , evri/yodel service here. Losing a star for the deli, why have a deli for rolls and lunch when it's closed at 1-2pm. Food left going off in the heater all day seems to be a waste and numerous times I've went down at 3pm for a roll only for it to be empty.”

“Where do I begin ? I think the MACE really came into its own during COVID. They recognised what their customers needed and provided for them in every way. The staff are always friendly and courteous but none more so than Andy the postmaster. In the run up to Christmas 2023, I had him tortured with my Amazon deliveries. I like to think that I played my part too by picking up my parcels promptly because the space they work out of is very small. However Andy had the space well organised and even if I was at the back of the queue he had my parcel ready and waiting for me.He’s an absolute GEM and the MACE is a wonderful community hub ?”

“First time in here in a very long time (10 years at least). It's a little hidden gem in North Belfast. They have some of the weirdest and wonderful stock, not found elsewhere. Well worth a visit if you've never been before. They've also a post office and a good selection of fine wine in the off licence section.”

“My experience with this place had been excellent up until today. The person working the till had rolled her eyes at me just because I decided to go to the till and not the self-checkout. Bear in mind there was no line and she was just chatting with another employee. The purpose of having self-checkout is not so you can sit around doing nothing. You getting paid so please do actually work when you need to.”

“Oh Mummy! This Spar is a wee cracker! The staff are so helpful! The BUY ONE GET ONE FREE DEALS ARE SCHWEET. I was near dead when I seen that they were doing 90 sausages for a £1! Oh Mummy! I'm squealing cause I can't believe how much money I saved! I'd good luck in there too, but I bought a wee scratchy scratch card and won a £1, I'll be celebrating like f#&k over in the Caulfields Monday club!”

“Called into the Co-Op on the Shankill 8pm ish on Wed 15th, grabbed something quick for Tea. The young chap behind the counter was lovely, he broke the "young people in retail" stereotype, I'm only sorry I didn't catch his name.”

“I like to think of this as the Tesco that actually cares for their shoppers. There is a sizeable parking space to the front and covered parking space on the ground floor. Commuters can get access to this shop quickly as there is a bus stop just close to the petrol station. Inside, there’s a scan and go option that makes shopping more convenient. Also, shelves are stocked and there’s a wide selection of products and foods to choose from so your choices are extensive. The aisles are wide enough and the staff arre helpful.”

“Lynn has such a lovely demeanour and was so helpful, even when I asked her a question a couple minutes before the store closed. She would have been well within her rights to tell me I needed to start checking out, but she helped me with the first thing and then asked me if I wanted any more help and lead me to the last thing I couldn’t find. It quite made my day :)”

“This establishment boasts a commendable level of cleanliness and is impressively well-stocked, despite its modest size. Despite its compact nature, the store manages to house an extensive array of items essential for hitting the road. The culinary offerings are noteworthy, with hot and freshly prepared food readily available. A particularly enticing feature is their selection of monster drinks, which are not only satisfying but also come at a more reasonable price when compared to their American counterparts. This cost advantage adds to the overall appeal of the store. The ambiance is welcoming, and the efficient organization of products contributes to a seamless shopping experience. It's apparent that meticulous attention is given to maintaining a tidy and orderly environment. The freshness of the food items suggests a commitment to quality, enhancing the overall customer satisfaction. One standout aspect is the pricing strategy, notably in the realm of energy drinks, where the store manages to offer a more budget-friendly option. This competitive pricing, coupled with the convenience of finding all necessary travel essentials in one place, sets this store apart. In conclusion, based on the cleanliness, variety of products, quality of food, and reasonable pricing, I enthusiastically award this establishment a solid five-star rating. It not only meets but exceeds expectations, providing a reliable stop for individuals gearing up for their journeys. Oscar checked me out. He was very professional and fast. I can see he loved his job”
