lovely sunny day in tesco kettering. i?ve been here quite a few times over the years! they didn?t have a huge amount of monster energy drinks which was rather disappointing but still enjoyed the shop. they had my special shampoo which i was very happy about! the bakery was really cute as well i do love a good donut or cookie. nice staff too so thanks kettering tesco ?

If ever you are in need of mobile phone advice need a new phone or just simple jargon explaining have a quick pop into kettering tesco mobile, Curtis is actually a legend. He has explained things I don't understand and on two occasions sorted me out a phone that is both practical and has all the storage needed thank you Curtis and tesco I think this man needs a pay review. Can't thank you enough.

31/5/25 Went to the till the woman behind the till serving the customer infront of me, chatting away like they?ve got all day.
Then he had forgotten something so wondered off,for 20 minutes while we stood there still waiting, he came back and they carried on talking like there wasn?t a huge queue waiting to pay
I put my shopping back in the trolley as it was all on the belt.
Started to use the self service check out and that wasn?t working properly, I looked around for someone to help and they were all standing around chatting away like they are not at work.
I had to actually go and get someone?s attention eventually a woman came and clearly couldn?t be bothered,god forbid they have to do some actual work.
This isn?t a one off,every time I go to this Tescos the staff just stand around chatting away,while the younger staff/agency/students are working away.
And that?s clearly down to bad management.
There?s no such thing as good customer service anymore

On Thursday 29/05/25 10:15am after doing my shopping I went to to the pharmacy to get some Solpadeine Plus soluble tablets the assistant asked what they were for and had I used them before which I said a bad back and yes I have used them before she then said I should go to the doctors and get co codomol to which I said the doctor said it was ok to use Solpadeine , then the Pharmacist came out and said that I should also get co codomol , I said the solpadeine was actually for a bad shoulder ( rotor cuff tear ) and I have been to the hospital about it and the doctor said it was ok to take solpadeine as for me co codomol gives me constipation the pharmacist said there is no difference between co codomol and solpadeine and refused to serve me , now I did not argue as there was many people in the queue . Now 2 weeks before this I had a medication review with the doctor who said it was ok to take solpadeine and not co codomol and the co codomol was taken off my repeat perscription so why is it the pharmacist refused them to me , I do not take them regulalry perhaps take 2 tablets once a fortnight I do not go to tesco pharmacy on a regular basis to get them perhaps 3/4 months , I am 73years old I'm sure I don't look like a drug user , I don't drink or smoke so on what basis was I refused and in front of everyone do you know how that makes me feel .

Large sizeable all on one level , good layout which works well,seemingly well stocked with everything for life?s needs with staff quite friendly.
The drawbacks can be trying to get out with limited checkouts open forcing you to self serve and parking which surrounds the front/side can be a bit tricky.

What a dreadful experience. Loud, poor quality music made it impossible to think, so I left at the earliest opportunity. I hope the staff are well paid.

The new parking is good.
The coffee machine never seems to have milk in it!! So you can't get a coffee as part of a meal deal which is a shame.
Today I waited for 18 minutes and asked 4 separate staff members to fill it up but after multiple tannoy announcements, I caved in and got a cold drink. Pretty poor customer service overall in this place.

Use this Tesco quite often as find it laid out nicely. The aisles are wide, and all stock is easy to reach. The car park is a nightmare and there are no where near enough disabled spaces. The store need to police these. Every time we go there is a vehicle in a disabled bay without a blue badge. It is not OK to stop in a disabled bay to pick up or drop off or just because you have an 8week old chihuahua pup that you are taking shopping. Today has been the worst experience. Kerry who was at the self checkout tills today ignored us multiple times as our light went red and virtually pushed us out of the way to serve a lady who was getting clothing. I remarked to her that the till hadn't printed a receipt for us, and Kerry just looked past us as though we were invisible and started scanning the clothing. The tills in the scan as you shop area was closed off so had to use the self service tills. Several of these tills appeared to be having maintenance or being fixed. There were 4 members of staff in this area fiddling with the broken tills and huge queues on the manned tills. We understand when it is busy, that sometimes you don't get the service, but this was ridiculous. We thought we were on candid camera. It was bad.

Tescos kettering, the staff are lovely and friendly, and always accommodated my needs as I'm disabled.
