“Visited for a family coffee after a birthday walk. Lovely welcoming environment. We ordered a few hot drinks and unfortunately they were made slightly wrong but we weren’t bothered. The waitress was very apologetic and offered to remake them however we were happy as they were. As a little consolation gift (and birthday treat) we were gifted a piece of cake - which was not necessary or expected but was a lovely touch. We will definitely come back!”

We are lucky to have this service in poppleton. They will also order things in if they don’t have what I’m looking for. I think the staff are lovely”

“The new owners provide friendly, inclusive & informative customer service in this village store & Post Office (with recently extended opening hours), with increasingly varied food offers, much locally sourced. Orders taken for fish, meat & bread. Recently introduced GF offer. Suggestions for other products not currently available are always considered. A refill station for household cleaning materials has been introduced.Orders being taken for Christmas (by Dec 1st) to help take the strain. Tea & coffee also served when the independent ‘The Coffee Bike’ isn’t open.Definitely worth a visit to a small shop that has a lot to offer.”

“This store and Post Office are great. Prices in the store are good and there is a good range of convenience goods to choose from. The staff are all friendly and happy to help. They are also knowledgeable, efficient and very effective at serving customers at both till types (quite a feat sometimes when they are busy) They always do their best without getting in a flap. They are calm, cool and collected. All of the staff work hard and are an absolute pleasure to deal with and talk to. I mainly use the post office side of this business and cannot fault the service at all. Further, this store really helped the community during the Pandemic with the store side of things. The manager is very professional and adaptable to the changing needs of his local community. It is nice to be treated in a friendly human way like this.”

“Used this post office for over 15 years yes it may be busy at times which shows it must be a good post office (2 fish & chip shops next door to each other one is very busy one empty! which one do you think sells the best fish & chips?) Alway found staff helpful, no I don't work there just a great post office if it wasn't it wouldn't get busy at times.”

“Friendly service and has a good range of services for a small post office. I would recommend extending the opening times however as it's not open a few days and it would be helpful if it could open past 12pm. Perhaps have it open in the morning and the evening? Though overall it's very handy to have. :)”

“The most warm and friendly team that run the post office, I use it as I only live around the corner. From taxing the car to sending parcels and important documents safely.I popped in Wednesday to send some cards which contained money and the staff told me which was the safest thing to do. “Very strange how a disgruntled ex member of staff leaves a poor review when they were very well looked after when they needed the job. People in glass houses and all that..However as someone who can vouch for the integrity of the owners, their generosity towards their local community and their frequently open hours, I can't say a bad word about them. “I’ve been using this post office for several years now, and I find all the staff including Ryan, the dark haired man with the glasses, exceptionally polite, helpful and efficient. The last two posts are totally uncalled for and I would say that both these people have obviously got out of bed the wrong side , He’s the sweetest guy I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing , like I said I go into this post office quite regularly , and have never had a problem with any of the Staff , even when I’ve noticed that they’re short staffed and under extreme pressure which they are sometimes ,So, keep up the good work everybody Some of us do appreciate you x”

“I go here most weeks for the last decade or so, on the whole it's pretty good, folks like you and me trying to keep it all together and exist.. some have a bad day, as we all do. Some need more training, but given that they do post office, lottery, shopping, shelf stacking, stock rotation etc I think it's pretty amazing.”
