Fortune's kippers are nearby for breakfast supplies and we always take some home. A short walk and 199 steps to the church and abbey.”

“Perfect location for discovering Whitby! The allocated parking space was a total bonus. Beautiful equipped accommodation, we had a brilliant week. Very central, less than a minute to the water and swing bridge. (Not suitable if you’re not good with stairs...but we were so we loved it!)”

“Large, very well furnished rooms, and well decorated. The kitchen has everything you could want. We had a fantastic stay. A little out of town, but with good bus links and taxis are inexpensive, and walking distance if you are reasonably fit. ”

“Our favourite stay across the UK. Beautiful rooms, retaining the original 1600s features, but with glorious beds and showers. We ate at the restaurant last night, and it was one of the best meals I have ever had (and I’m 51!) - the lamb was out of this world.Rooms: Gorgeous- really comfortable, but retaining all their period featuresNearby activities: Close to everything Whitby has to offer.Walkability: Easy to get to everything. Parking is difficult - but we ended up parking at the long stay which is about a 10 minute walkFood & drinks: Stunning”

“Food menu has been reduced since we last visited. Portion size hase also seems to have been cut back. Drinks are still value for money but we won't order food again. ”

“Typical wetherspoons pub but with one of the best views anywhere in England. Perfectly placed for a quick pint and a burger. Menu is the same as every other wetherspoons, but you get that view. Sit upstairs and admire the whitby harbour and old town in all its glory.”
