“I feel I must write to say what very good service we had from a young lady in the Thirsk shop. We were looking for a recent restaurant/eating out guide from 'Living North' magazine. which I had recently seen in a local restaurant. She went out of her way to help, even though the publication was clearly not a current one. She was kind enough to show us other guides to eating out in the area. Very, very well done.. whoever she is. She is a credit to the shop and could teach other assistants a thing or two about customer service. If you have a star assistant of the month badge... give it to her!!”

“Called in the book shop on a busy, warm day visiting Thirsk Decided the menu look tempting so stayed for a cream tea and a savoury tea. Sat outside in the lovely garden. One of the best cheese scones I’ve had in a long time.”
