“If you're in Ripon, I recommend a visit to Halls of Ripon in Fishergate. Great concept providing a way for independent businesses to get a place on the High Street before moving on to open their own shops. It's like a combination of a small department store and an indoor market. Lovely friendly, genuine people. Even helped me identify that where the store now stands is where my great, great grandfather was a boot maker and where the family lived. I'll definitely be visiting again. More towns and cities need places like this to help independent businesses and make our high streets interesting again.”

“This was the first time to ever visit this chain of shops. I liked the fact that in front of the shop they had a big box of free (out of date) vegetable seeds to pick through. Inside, it was a treasure trove of almost anything that you can think of. An Aladdin's cave of knick knacks - of stuff that you never realized you need until you saw it here. I picked up a couple of large balloon sized glasses for huge gin and tonics. Very useful... Some of the aisles were a bit cluttered with half opened boxes, but OK.”
