“I visited the Whale Hill Supermarket twice yesterday. I was able to find everything I wanted on each visit. Initially to purchase coffee and muffins. On my second visit before I travelled home for Milk and frozen foods. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Once I'm living locally I will definitely be a regular customer. Thank you Iceland at Whale Hill Shops.”

“shelves a little bare but still the cheapest shop in town from their small food range. always lower priced than town shops and supermarkets. staff can be short tempered and occasionally rude with lack of product knowledge but overall good service.”

4.9Superb15 Reviews

“Whenever I visit, I rejoice that such a shop exists. My advice to everyone is, shop here first, be creative and not afraid to try something unusual. I have had many a pleasant surprise, and very few regrets. What a time to be alive.”

“Always good value.

I have seen people leaving reviews saying the staff can be rude (Eastbourne Road), but they have always been fine with me.

Busy, yes but rude, no.”

“Can be quite busy, especially when there is only one member of staff on the tills but this is a company policy so no fault of the staff in store, the staff themselves are great, very helpful and polite.”

“Its a long while since we have been to Aldi. The quality and choice of produce is excellent.

It was a moderately good experience, which is is always spoiled by the high speed checkout operators. I appreciate they have to work quick, but can only go as fast as you can pack a trolley”

“Bang On, didn't have they donner pizzas, which you must try, but plenty of choice. Unreal prices, kept quiet at the checkout as I thought they'd made a mistake, checked receipt when home and it was no mistake, the price was correct. Brilliant!”

“Excellent Store, bright, clean and well stocked. Very nice Staff from the Security Guard to the lovely lady who helped me at the Order Collect point. Toilets very clean and the Cafe looked the same.”

“Lidl. The “tidy” version of Aldi, I guess.

Plus bakery too, that’s a bonus.

Their croissants are fantastic.

Recently, it’s been the only place that does the Chinese stir fry I like, so I visit it quite often.

That and the fact that it’s only a few hundred meters away from where I live.”

“Always a good variety of stock, prices are excellent, what's not to like!Disappointed that Heron's prices have gone up quite substantially recently, much like everywhere else. There is still a good bargain to be had though and I do always find the staff very friendly and helpful.”

“I love Lidl for its electronic receipt when you download the Lidl app. I use it a lot.

I love the taste of their Yogurt compared to other stores.

Their prices are relatively good for a whole lot of items and groceries.

I have no concern recommending them.”

“Our nominated pharmacy just said we can’t get this product go somewhere else. Took the script to Asda and they were all so brilliant. “No problem it will be here tomorrow, do you want calling when it’s in?” Thank you, my husband has waited a month to get this prescription.”

“It's a perfect place, right on the beach, the food was good, I'm veggie there was plenty for me my friend's loved all the meats! The only downside is if your facing "Veronica's strip " be warned you can't sleep, ear plugs took the edge off a bit!! A lot of people complained, I'm no prude but when the thud was bouncing of your chest at 5 in the morning it takes it toll x”

“Large sainsburys + car park. Well stocked shelves especially the booze isles which is my favourite. The car park is free for 30 minutes, 1 pound an hour, 2 pounds for 2 hours. Get your money back if you spend more than £10 in store.”

3.7Good59 Reviews

“Good choice of products. Friendly staff but queues can be a little long. The negative is there is no car park just on street meter parking, which is in short supply. The fantastic thing is that your shopping can be delivered straight to your door by Iceland. Overall a good shop with good prices.”

“Until you go into a local Heron shop, you don't realise what you're missing or saving. A shop that has fresh, freezer and general grocery products and more, on offer at prices that are less than the prices of your named Supermarkets. Will shop again and save. Staff were friendly too.”

4.4Superb5 Reviews

“It's a coop... with a fairly good selection of products (including some surprisngly good varieties of spices...) and not entirely unreasonably priced for what is promoted as a convenience store (albeit a large one).”

3.7Good9 Reviews

“Who reviews a co-op? Honestly.Quite a wide variety of goods for a small shop. Friendly and helpful staff (including calling the bigger store on one occasion to find out if they had my missing ingredient.”

“Very helpful staff! Went in today and mentioned to each other that couldn't find vegan chocolate, and two members of staff overheard and pointed us out to the options”

“Considering what the staff have to put up with in this location they still somehow seem to make it work as a reliable and fairly priced local Tesco.

The doors are often locked and you will have to be let in as there is so many shoplifters around.

Credit to the staff”
