“My wife and i have just arrived home from a 2 night stay at West Lexham . We came , to experience something different for my wife's birthday. and West Lexham didn't disappoint. We arrived at about 2.30 pm , so a little early for our published 4pm check in time. We figured we would just walk around the area until we could access our tree house. But this wasn't an issue, there was a lovely young lady on the front desk that took our name and promptly walked us round the area, showing us points of interest and taking us to "Tinker" , out tree house home for the weekend. Tinker was everything my wife had hoped it would be, and exactly as advertised, it was a tree house, in a tree , in the woods, and as you would expect , there was spiders webs on the windows outside and bird poo on the balcony , its in the woods, surrounded by nature and all its glory, Inside , was wonderful, tidy, clean and well equipped, with a wood burner, a kettle , tea and coffee, a well made bed, bedside tables, in fact everything you'd expect , to be comfortable staying in for a few nights. A short walk takes you to the shower block, 5 or 6 individual rooms , with a shower , sink and toilet . These rooms were spotlessly clean, a plentiful pile of toilet roll , and (at least the one i went in) with a perfectly working shower with easy to use temperate regulation, that stayed at a constant temperate , so no fluctuating hot to cold. another very short walk sees you at the cafe/restaurant . Again a lovely clean area. I cant comment on the food here, as we were out all day and ate out before coming back. We did have the (included) breakfast though and that was very enjoyable , although i only had bacon sandwich and a cup of tea. A mention must be made though of the 2 young female members of staff that were working this weekend. those 2 young ladies are a credit to the business, polite, helpful and attentive. We had a walk around the grounds on the Friday evening , all very well kept, a lot of plants that have clearly been planted to help and attract bees which is lovely to see. We didnt go in the pool , but it looked clean and some people did use it while we were there and seemed to enjoy it. We spent the daytime travelling and exploring the Norfolk coastal areas and this was a perfect, quirky base . So in summary , a lovely clean, well run place that had some wonderful staff and everything we needed for a 2 night stay with a difference . The lake was lovely and we had a go in one of the boats , but the little rings that hold the oars in place are broken and we are too weak to row without them , but am sure other people would manage , but we had a laugh for half an hour boing round in a circle. One last thing to mention , which is no way a reflection of the accommodation or area, but we noticed some dog poo on some of the grassy areas, and there was a couple of dogs off leads there during our stay. But please , be responsible dog owners and pick up after your dog. It is not West Lexham's responsibility to do this for you, Would we come back again? 100% we would Just remember your in an actual tree house, in an actual forest area”

“My son just brought us a new tempur bed and motion base frame. The sales lady was called Kacey. I have never had such good customer service. She was extremely polite and helpful. Answered all our questions, having such an in-depth knowledge of all the differences between the mattresses. Sometimes you go to places and get very pushy salespeople. Kacey has mastered the art of being there to help but not pushy and gave us plenty of time to view and decide. Such a lovely polite lady that deserves a pay that equals the highest standard of service that she gives her customers. I could not think any higher of her. Such a pleasure to spend a bit of time with .”
“Friday afternoon drinks in the courtyard, excellent location, super staff & good choice of drinks.

“A handy location to visit the town with a Starbucks next door for breakfast. The building is new and well maintained with plenty of parking. The room was clean but did smell slightly of smoke when we arrived possibly from the last guest trying to smoke out of the window. WiFi as expected in travelodges was terrible and I still don’t understand why they think it’s acceptable to pay for a service which would have been considered slow even in 2010. A youth group must have been staying the night as there was plenty of room swapping going on till the early hours. Otherwise a hotel we would use again.”

“Nice hotel, very nice staff and the location is perfect. It is much cheaper to park on the public parking lot in front of the hotel, than the parking lot that the hotel manages behind the hotel.”
“By chance Tuesday was Pasta and Pizza night - £18 for a pizza or pasta dish (lots of choice inc choice of 3 types of pasta!) + a side order + soft drink/wine/ beer. I wondered if portions might be small or quality indifferent. I needn’t have worried. Portion size was great as was the quality - really nice food followed by a delicious lemon posset. Add in really friendly service and nice surroundings and you get a lovely night out. I wonder if the rest of the food is this good? ?”
