Booked the appointment weeks ago through text message. My appointment was for 10am (opening time states 9:30am). I arrived at the salon at my appointment time, it was shut with the shutters down so I sent the women a text and walked around for awhile and then stood outside the salon waiting. She showed up over 25 minutes late. No apology or even an hello. She then looked at me with a confused look and said "do you have an appointment? can you show me the text" so I shown the text. Maybe she forgot? or maybe appointments are not noted down clearly? I don't know to be honest?Anyway she then told me I had to buy the hair for the braids and to go to a nearby shop (I wasn't told I had to do this when booking). This is too costly and I should of been told when booking. I didn't bother getting the braids done in the end, i was annoyed. Organisation not great at all.Service: Box Braids

I had a great experience! I had an appointment for 10am but started at 12pm. The salon is on the second floor of St John's, where all the stalls are - took a while for me to find it!Be sure to ask them what hair extensions (for basic box braids) you should use because they use a specific type which the hair is already combed already and long. But don't worry, there is a hair shop near the salon for which you can go downstairs to get the right hair. For my hair (box braids), I used 2 pack of each colour, resulting in buying 6 packs of hair extensions.I wanted 'French Curls' but I got something different because she wanted a specific hair extensions that was curled already and even the hair shop didn't have the specific type. Then again she didn't tell me beforehand, when we we communicating online about the appointment, what specific brand she wanted me to get. My hair came to £140, even though that was the price for the French Curls we discussed, not the box braids.The hair took 6 hours to do, from 12pm to 6pm (which incudes breaks). Played music in the background for some of the time. She does give you time to go use the toilet and have food.Nice people too, speaks English and French! XxService: Braids

My honest opinion is, the prices don?t make sense. I asked for braids to get done, she gave me a price including extensions. I asked the price without extensions as I wanted to get colours that would best suit me, she charged the same price as she would if she was providing the extensions which doesn?t make sense. I asked what the cost would be if she got the extensions I wanted she said it would be more expensive, mind you expression costs the same regardless of colour. Sometimes there?s ways this lady is that honestly make myself or my friends not want to go there just because of the treatment she gives us prior to booking appointments with her. If we weren?t desperate for people who do braids for black women in Liverpool most of us wouldn?t go. The prices also depends on whether she likes you or you speak the same language as her. It?s improperly regulated.Service: Box Braids

The lady was fast, efficient, did exactly what I wanted and even put in some hair extensions as mine wasn't thick enough for the style I wanted. She was friendly and and very good value for money. I would definitely come here again and recommend the place to others.

Wouldn?t recommend. Extremely rude staff, arrived for my appointment the lady looked as though she?d seen a ghost. She had no clue of this appointment only when I proved to her I had book she let me sitVery bad attitude from then on in, absolutely no conversation from her. Seemed very annoyed that she had to do my hair as it was a long process.Her and her friend talking about me in their own language, just felt very uncomfortable. Only reason I?ve rated this 2 stars is because despite this very lovely braids. Job well done, it?s just a shame their customer service is terrible.Won?t be coming back, there?s a lot of other great Afro hair shops in the city that won?t break the bank

I had an amazing experience here everyone in the salon was so nice and stayed later than she closed just to finish my hair . My extensions feel very secure and my hair was really transformed. Thank you !! ??

first time I got my braids done in February and I absolutely loved it good atmosphere customer service was great,like any woman we like to relax while getting our hair done, second time was April felt really uncomfortable just wanted it done and to go, just had it done again on Saturday the 11th,went in the day before just to enquire about my appointment and the customer service was awful got told they weren't doing boxed braids on a Saturday anymore the way I got spoken to was out of order in front of my child and my friend then my appointment was changed from 10 to 11 no one arrived till 12 the pricient was actually shut at 6 and I was locked in ......voiced my concerns and got nothing back so I will be finding somewhere else from now on as there is no need for anyone to be treated like that especially in front of other customers....
