The revised system for appointments is so much better and makes you feel less anxious. You can also request future appointments which is brilliant as you can manage work/ personal commitments around seeing your GP. The doctors and reception staff are lovely.

I went on their website and it said do not call up, they are having a problem with their phone. So I managed to drag myself down there at 9 am for them to tell me they have no appointments left and if I want one I should have called up at 8am. Make your mind up

Great service, rung up on the day for a non urgent appt and was given same day appointment.Quick return phone call from doc and prescription given due to general complaint and referral to dermatologist. Very happy with staff and doc's helpfulness.

Most Receptionist, senior receptionist and practice manager are all barriers to reach GP or nurse practitioners. They have no empathy anc even when they make mistakes they argue defending each other rather than apologising and solving the problem .

I have just needed to use the new drop in service. It was extremely busy, but the organisation, and personal who dealt with me were brilliant. I was seen and sorted in about one hour, inspite waiting for my turn and the large number of people also waiting.

Receptionist was lovely and helpful and that's where it ended. The Nurse practitioner I seen was very unwilling to help. Gone are the days when you're GP actually cared. I never write reviews and normally take them with a pinch of salt. But it seems the reviews for this surgery are spot on. I've seen Dr Gupta and Dr Rosser in the past and they are really marvelous caring Doctors. But unfortunately they are not always there. Good luck I'd personally go to the drop in centre and get properly checked if it's something urgent. I hope things change because it used to be a good surgery.

Phoned at 8am, was on hold 15 minutes, got through to a lovely receptionist who told me to come down and book in. I went down at 9am and was seen at 10:10. I really dont know why people are giving this doctors a 1 star.

When trying to book an appointment: No answer on the phone, even when first in queue. Call back service offered but never received. eConsultation offered but doesn't cover all services. myGP app offers appointment booking but none available. EMIS Patient Access not in use with this surgery. Email received about Blinx Scheduler for booking appointments; no link in email, no following email with link, no such app in app store, no answer on phone to discuss.Far too much time spent getting nowhere. Looking for a different GP surgery now.

This surgery now is a medical negligence claim waiting to happen. It used to be good many years ago but we are now looking to move as a family. I tried to book an urgent appointment this morning as I appear to have a chest infection that is getting worse and I am struggling to talk and breathe. I rang and on 3 occasions I was cut off as the phone system wasn?t working. My husband then took me to the surgery. The waiting room was empty apart from two receptionists. I asked if there was any way I could see a dr. I was told I needed to ring at 8 am the following day to get an appointment. I mentioned that I had tried to do that this morning but the lines were down. I asked whether it was possible to arrange an appointment in the coming days and she said there were none.I was advised to go to a and e or even better a walk in centre as they could now prescribe antibiotics in these places. I have gone as advised as I can?t breathe . The waiting room is full but the receptionist was very helpful and understanding. If you value your family I would move from gateacre brow as it is a surgery that is no longer fit for purpose.

When the whole system is failing there isn't a quick fix. I have had the frustration of ringing at 8am, trying to get the econsult but it being declined as not available and seeing what would appear to be an empty practice. This last 2 weeks though, the surgery is trialling a walk in centre type approach to seeing the GP. Yes you still have to wait, but that's normal and it is trying a new old way of meeting the demands of the service users. The practice has recognised a need and it is trying to address it.Hopefully the benefit will be felt by all eventually.Patience as a patient is the hardest when you are scared/worried.
