“Always pick up an unusual item here and today my friend bought two hairy balls on a chardonnair for her garden ...I wanted new trainers but couldn't get my size ...they had a pair of Polo pumps but were a size 14 and must have been made in the dry Dock at nearby Cammel Laird !!!”

“Good quality clothing, reasonable prices, I went to use the self scan checkout but the voucher I had had to go through a main checkout I'd already waited 10 mins until someone had come to help and told me this and the queue was long with only 1 person on the till, however the lady that had come to help opened up a checkout to put me through.”

“Hadn't used Matalan for a while, so had to work out the layout. Not difficult.A good selection of ladies jumpers but so thin, yarn too fine for our winter's. Christmas jumpers, have seen better designs. Miserable, dull, muted colours. Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, a celebration of Christ's birth.Brighten up, please.”

“Cant fault the service, even though the store had internet issues meaning only one till was usable with no contactless. Samantha was courteous and polite in all the mayhem (total opposite to a sales assistant in another store I visited on the same day - not a next store!)”

“Great shop for all your household items plus the bonus of having some Iceland food products there. Probably the best shop for it's Halloween and Christmas displays (tends to take up the whole of upstairs). Only downside is there generally tends to be 1 person on the till which for the size of the store is ridiculous plus quite alot of the time whilst queuing managers/assistant managers or general staff huddled together by the customer services chatting.”

“Massive thank you to Jess at this store! I ordered garden furniture which I thought came flat packed and would fit in the car. Jess helped me carry everything out to the car, but it didn’t fit. She then sorted a refund, and a reorder with home delivery. The product was reordered at the same discounted price for me despite the product no longer being reduced. It was a bit of a headache to sort out, but Jess made it seem no problem at all with lovely customer service. Thank you to the manager who also assisted to get the last few things sorted :) much appreciated!”

“Bought a new iPad off them 13 months ago (out of warranty) it sadly died on me, took it to the apple store who said they couldn’t do anything and it would cost for me to replace it, took it back to Argos who sent it to be looked at by a repair shop, no success so they replaced it with a brand new one and refunded me the difference! Friendly and patient staff, will be prioritising buying from them again.”
