Went here with my parents for a family meal with dog in tow. We were seated and served within 20 minutes of ordering. The food was fantastic (generous portions as well.)
Really friendly and helpful service at the bar. I'd recommend it to any of friends.

Lovely pub we go to often meals look delicious even though we haven't actually had a meal there very traditional with the beams and wood burner and right next to the river also dog friendly ??

Last minute decision to pop in for a bite to eat. Called and booked a table with the lovely member of staff. Welcomed on arrival by the lady who took my booking. Ordered drinks and was Seated quickly and greeted by our waitress.
Ordered two main meals. Ham, egg and chips. Scampi and chips.
Food arrived very quickly and was piping hot. My wife?s meal came with two slabs of ham. Freshly cooked eggs to her liking. Scampi was fresh. Lovely tartare sauce. Both meals came with the fantastic homemade chips. We both throughly enjoyed our meals. Credit to the team and chef. Wife found room for a Oreo cheesecake that came with Fresh Strawberries too and also brought some of the ham home too as there was leftovers?
All in all. Fantastic food. Great staff and atmosphere. Very reasonably priced. We will return and sit in the garden or by the river. Thank you.

Went with a table for 11 today 16th Feb 25, Food was outstanding Sunday Lunch Turkey, Beef or Pork and plentiful and nice and hot. No complaints we all had a lovely time as we always do, and the service was fantastic, we will definitely be returning. Well worth a visit.

The food was very good, but unfortunately I ordered gluten-free honey roasted ham, egg and chips to be informed the chips were not gluten-free as they were not cooked in a separate fryer. They were cooked in a fryer with fish and scampi. I was very upset as food labelled gluten-free must be gluten-free. The waiter did ask me if I was coeliac, which I am not, but I still need gluten-free food for a
medical reason, not choice . Chips are only gluten-free if they are cooked in a separate fryer. I was offered fried potatoes, but I found them rather greasy. I was very disappointed as I had dined there many times and presumed if a meal was labelled gluten-free, it would be gluten-free. It was very disappointing.
