“Spacious clean rooms but very loud outside, not great for light speakers as rooms are based outside a 24 hour petrol station on one side so theres a constant stream of car engines and doors on one side of the building.”

“Travelled down from Scotland to visit my ill mother so chose the Premier Inn Leicester South due to its location. Arriving at 6.30pm feeling exhausted we found the heating was not working in the room. After speaking at the reception I was given a oil heater that was in his office and was fine to get the chill off the room. The next morning a staff member apologised and advised they had refunded our breakfast cost which was unexpected but welcoming....we did not ask for it. As the hotel was full we could not change rooms so they did their best to keep us comfortable which we appreciated.Room was clean and fully stocked.”

“Recently attended an all day event so wanted a hotel close to Victoria Park. Excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help you or interact with you. Check in later on the night very quick and room was clean, bright and very comfy beds just what we needed after a tiring day out. Thanks to all the staff who helped to make the customers experience a good one”

“Good clean room with a comfortable bed - helpful and customer focused staff, just as expected with Premier Inn. Big car parking area which is free, a ten minute drive into Leicester, a Morrisons supermarket is a 5 minute drive away which sells cheaper fuel (fuel stations around the area are very expensive) Good self service breakfast in the adjoining pub. Would stay here again.”

“Sad to see these reviews regarding the hotel. It is my first time staying here and we all enjoyed ourselves. We queued for a little at the bar, but it was busy so to be expected (others were complaining), it feels as though the customer’s attitude were far worse than any of the staff, who thanked us for our patience and compliance (in particular the tall gentleman with the mullet type haircut - wish i had gotten his name as he was fantastic). One person in particular, Avtar, I cannot fault. Her attitude towards the job was second-to-none, happy to help us if we needed anything accompanied by a good level of humour, she made us feel right at home. Hope her manager’s know what an asset she is to the team!”

“The lady on reception there was so helpful to us on the evening of Wednesday 8th November when our car was smashed into from the rear by another vehicle at the entrance of the Travelodge. She showed concern and even made my wife and I a cuppa while we waited for the recovery lorry.”

“Overnight stay and our second visit to this lovely hotel. We were made to feel very welcome again, all staff without exception helpful and friendly. It’s basic and that’s reflected in the price but the rooms are clean and have tea/coffee making facilities and nice shower/hand gels. The hotel is modern and well located for the city centre. Breakfast is in reception / tv area with lots of different seating. Breakfast selection is hot buffet and small continental. No frills to it but perfect for our needs. We will be back.”

“Very pleased with my stay i had two lovely ladies called michelle and chelsea on reception who helped me work my way to the room and was very polite and welcoming best service would definitely recommend would be coming again with family and friends also had a very nice breakfast and friendly service all requirements was met. Michelle and chelsea was very patient with me as this is the first time coming to Leicester and being unsure of my whereabouts they had helped me alot great staff! Great service ! And a lovely quiet sleep.Rooms: Rooms was very clean! Enough space for everybody.Nearby activities: Alot of nearby restaurants.Safety: I felt very safe by all the staff as the ensured i was comfortable with my stayFood & drinks: Food and drinks was very enjoyable.”

“The room was small and the bathroom could have done with some TLC. But the service we got from start to finish was great and the location was easily accessible. My only real complaint was that the parking situation isn't great and the carpark is in a bit of a state (lots of potholes) which made it harder to get our belongings into the hotel.”
