“I was served by a lovely woman who went out of her way to recommend me a book- o Caledonia by Elspeth Barker- and discussed with me in detail recommendations based on my books I was purchasing. Extremely good customer service and she talked me through the points system and guided me on how to redeem these points next purchase. She was a pleasure to be served by- I didn’t catch her name but she deserves a raise for her bubbly, attentive nature!”

“Such a cute shop firstly, but found 2 books which were exactly what I wanted which I wasn't expecting! They also have some really interesting books that I would love to read, but sadly don't live nearby anymore :(”

“I came in on 28th May with my 6 year old son.
He wanted to find a Cody Rhodes figure but could not find one. He asked the man on the till, upstairs, and he was great with my son. He helped us look for the figure he wanted. We couldn't find it but my son kept on talking about the nice man that helped us.

I think it's safe to say you have a new customer with my son! ?”

“A large selection of books to browse through. I've made multiple trips to Leicester to visit a friend, and I always pop in and pick up a few books here, plenty to pick from. I've never been disappointed as the choice is always changing and cheap.”

“Great shop and lots of books and great for people who like to pop in for coffee and read of a book and lots of gaming books and games and DVDs and CDs and records of music and kids books and magazines and I go there all the time and my favourite book shop and I know the manager in there very well and I look forward to go there today and they work so hard to keep people happy and I met so many people in that shop and I got talking to guy who said something about George Lucas school bully called varder who is Vader in Star Wars and he said to me be careful who you upset or they make a film character out of you and I said I will and that book shop has everything you need and am sure there is a book for everyone and very friendly staff and I been going there every year and I do try see if they got what I like and I bought loads of books and magazines and so I do get around and it's cheap books as well and I also got a signed book from there for £10 and I still got it so enjoy this book shop”

“We bought a piece of garden furniture which we had delivered. It needed assembling but unfortunately an element was broken. Reported it and the staff came out with a replacement this too unfortunately was faulty in the same location (looks like a faulty batch) so they took the item back with them and came out the following day with a new one that they had put together for us. Each delivery arrived at time stated. Happy with final product. Truly excellent customer service thank you - well done Richard and team”

“The 5 stars review is towards the young female cashier, her name badge said Tianna, I've been to a few different branches of W.H. Smith and the staff members were not as friendly as this young woman, very friendly, approachable and clearly wants to help customers as much as she can, like she did with me.I imagine with it being the Christmas season that it's going to get busier and I believe that she is going to be leading the other cashiers, this particular member of staff deserves a raise!”

“Went here looking for stationary items. Left with wool, a couple of books, some fancy pens and other crafting bits and bobs. Everything is reasonably priced and there is a lot to choose from despite it being a relatively small store. Wheelchair accessible but the isles are quite narrow. A chair user may find it a bit of a squeeze during busy periods.”

“Small shop but has everything u need from book, coffee, sandwiches, drinks, chocolates to ur travel necessities. Good staff & service was pretty good too. So convenient as it’s located inside station building”

“Great shop and great prices. However every time I go there it's always so rammed and you cant even look at something without being in the way. (Mainly top floor) I think they need re-organise some of the stuff. The little table near the cashier has all the new books which people would like to take time to look at, however there's always a big line of people waiting to pay.”

She was professional, kind and extremely helpful when I was stressed as I had returned an expensive Christmas present which the company had told me had gone missing. “Went to A&E under the advice of a secondary party and then was later admitted to the gynecology unit for further investigation of ongoing conditions. It's always busy in the hospital especially on Friday evenings but the staff did what they could to get me pushed through the system. The gynae team were lovely when I was in severe pain and have given me further support if I need it. I can't remember all the nurses names unfortunately but I do recall Lucy and Rachel, thank you to them and all the other staff working the night 15th August and the morning after.”

“I rarely write a review but we had our daughters 4th birthday party with them and the staff made it such a fantastic experience. We opted for afternoon teas which are delivered on tiered afternoon tea platters per child - parents raved about the quality and quantity of food. The soft play was small but perfect for little ones. Thank you to all the staff for making it so stress free for us.”
