Exceptional Customer Service at Halifax Preston ? A Shining Example from Goushya
I recently visited the Halifax branch in Preston and was fortunate enough to be assisted by a team member named Goushya. From the moment I approached the desk, she greeted me with a warm, welcoming attitude that immediately put me at ease. What stood out most was her genuine care, attention to detail, and unwavering patience throughout what could have been a stressful situation.
Goushya not only listened attentively to my concerns but went out of her way to ensure that every aspect of my query was handled thoroughly. She explained everything clearly, double-checked information to ensure accuracy, and followed up with care and professionalism that truly exceeded expectations.
She showed empathy, efficiency, and a level of customer care that?s becoming increasingly rare. It?s clear she takes real pride in her work and in helping customers feel supported, respected, and reassured.
Halifax Preston should count themselves incredibly lucky to have someone like Goushya representing the branch. She is a credit not only to the team but to the wider Halifax organisation. Staff like her make all the difference. She turned what could have been a routine banking errand into a truly positive experience.
Thank you again, Goushya, your help was deeply appreciated, and I hope your efforts are recognised. You went above and beyond. You are an exception to the Preston and no doubt will achieve great things going forward. Goushya?s knowledge, work ethic, and customer-first attitude are truly exceptional. Her approach should be studied as an example of outstanding service. She?s not only incredibly efficient and knowledgeable, but also genuinely cares about the people she helps. Halifax would do well to recognise and learn from the high standard she sets, She is an absolute asset to the Preston branch.

I had a great experience at Halifax Bank recently when I went to deposit some money. The lady who assisted me was extremely friendly, energetic, and helpful. Her positive attitude and excellent service made the whole process quick and pleasant. Thank you for the great customer service ? it really makes a difference!

Fuming I rang up to change phone number as I got new phone as old phone was lost and took 20 minutes to speak to a human and then they hung up on me within 30 seconds like I'm a customer you don't just hang up honestly need to get it sorted!!!!

I have averaged out this review. The gentleman who welcomed me into the store and tried his best to assist me with the machines deserves 5 stars for his joyful friendliness. The woman who then served me on the service desk deserves 1 or less stars for how cold and quite frankly rude she was to me and other customers. If you read this Halifax, please give the welcomer a raise, and please give your service desk staff a refresher in customer service training.

By far the worst bank I bank with, very judgemental unhelpful staff in branch. Feel very negatively every time I have to pleasure of entering. One key member of staff who stands on door greeting is lovely and he deserves the recognition.

Very uncomfortable experience and patronising customer service? The customer advisor made me feel like I?m stupid when I asked him to repeat the questions he asked. No proper desk and space to deal with my request. Needed to tell my personal details in front of everyone waiting in the queue and needed to stand next to the customer advisor. I?m considering to close my account as I do not want to deal with them again ?

i went to open a acount the lady in counter unhelpful and patronising staff 26/11/22 , made me wait and queueing up 3 times and couldnt even help open this online acount i made' i have banking over 30 years i' ve never been treated like this very unprofeesional staff at counter she was very rude .

I'm appalled with the service they can't seem to get through to you I've fetch all nessasary paper work and they say I do not live at this address they cannot find my address but you send me lots of letters from Preston branch ov Halifax some one needs to do there job I'm appauled with the service I've received

Yesterday I left my bank card in machine Halifax and I forget my bank card in the machine- Halifax at Preston because I am deaf and I can?t hear beep the Halifax machine. Should the Halifax be deaf awake.. Thank you..

Horrible woman that was rude and made me feel less than, even when I explained to her I'm neurodivergent and may answer her questions in a long-winded manner. Caught her rolling her eyes at me; she was blunt and cold towards me, even tutting when I tried to make a joke to make the interaction less tense. She continued to reject me when I asked for a free sunflower lanyard that Halifax are giving out for free, as per the sign next to her station. Felt so badly after that that I just went home. No Xmas shopping done. It's 2 days later and I'm still thinking about it. Have cried about it twice, feels like I'll cry about it again typing this out. Ended up putting in a formal complaint. Seeing other reviews, I know exactly who the others mean. I wish the manager would look into this because I've been seriously debating moving banks now.

Called up for a direct debit indemnity claim twice, spoke with 2 different agents and got fobbed off being told that the "conditions aren't met" and that the company need to refund me when I've already discussed and they've told me that my bank need to refund it. They were clearly being irresponsible, ridiculous and not helpful at all. Called up Blackburn Halifax later on and the agent sorted it without making an issue. I recommend you call Blackburn instead.
