I used to be a Matalan fan but over the years the service and expectation has dwindled. The store is big but there are hardly any staff. I struggled to find some school uniform as it was all muddled up and in the wrong places. There was no one around to ask around, no front staff. Great shop, nice range of products. The self service tills are not great. Arrived home, multiple items have alarm tags on!! Never sounded alarm. You need a shop assistant who knows where the tags are to remove them. Hidden up trousers leg, in sleeve of suit jacket!! It’s not up to the consumer to have to sort this out.... read full comment
