Not massively impressed to be honest. Most of the things on the specials board were not available, despite us being there early, yet they were not crossed off so we didn't know until ordering. Starters were measley. Main courses were ok, nothing to shout about. We did have a private room which was nice but it meant we felt a bit out of the loop and forgotten about. All in all, it was OK but for the price we would not return.

Very cosy traditional British pub and gastro menu.
Nice staff and choice of ales.
Nearby activities: Hike around the Pendle hills.

Eaten here twice recently and have been really impressed. One was a lunch then other time and evening meal, nice varied menu with some interesting options. Would highly recommend.

Food and drinks: Was brought the wrong meal and left sat waiting while my group ate. Had no explanation, reassurance or anyone take ownership to resolve this, and in fact, one staff member seemed to imply the mistake was mine.
Had to find someone and ask what happened and what was going on. I could either eat the wrong meal, or wait another 25 minutes for what I ordered.
Easy mistake by server made worse by poor communication from staff, meant I did not end up eating with my group. Bad experience.

Would have been 5 stars but the breakfast was poor. The full breakfast was very dried out. Great shame as everything else was wonderful
