“As part of movements without a car, and getting used to this change, this store is part of daily shopping for occasional groceries. The store has a ATM outside. There are three tills available. Though not always three staff using these. It's seems to have a comprehensive ranges of ordinary foods. The staff are nice. If, like me, your on a healthy diet, you may need to be selective from this range of ordinary foods. My diet is medically recommended In a book 'G. I. Diet' by Gallop, Virgin press. I have lost three stones and four pounds in a year. The best method is the simplest, such as to check for traffic lights on foods in classes. And my mmls is now close to normal level. Both of these factors are directly due to this level of diet and going on daily long walking exercise. This is supported by daily long walks. My staples of healthy foods to maintain this are bought online and delivery to my house from a local Asda once a week. This Spar store is good for occasional items you don't buy once a week. It's seems helpful and as useful as the local Co-op. Though this Co-op seems to have more range of extravagant foods available.”

“Well, I have a shopping experience at Bargain Booze Adlington for full availability stocks and looking great. Crystal vapeaze on sale 2 for £8 which is cheaper than anywhere else.”
“As soon as I walk into this Coop (pronounced coop as in hen coop LOL) I hear the tinkling ivories of the theme tune to the American 1980s TV show Cheers — sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name ? ? This is because the staff are so friendly and helpful — Nicola, Yvonne and The Jaynes to namecheck just a few. The staff offer a kind of customer care where giving you the shirt off their back is just part of the service, especially noticeable in this the Age of Corona. Their own brand of kid’s nappies are utterly adorable, even though they are quite a lot more expensive than ALDI (£4 for 27 versus £5 for 72). The sometimes higher prices for more stylish and classier products make me feel like I am shopping in a down-to-earth Waitrose. Thank you for helping to keep a reassuring food and drink supply going in the village during these tumultuous times. I might even become a member this year ?

Better selection of products than other spar shops I've been too.Only recently joined the spar franchise so it very much retains the pleasant feel of the former family run village shop and treats customers with respect and help ? ?”
“The shop is perfectly functional when it's open & the owners/managers are lovely people.However be aware that the published opening times on the Google site are wrong. Also the website icon takes you to the village hotels & not the village store.”

“Booked a week in advance for December 27th, 1pm. I'm glad we did as it was busy, I'm not surprised due to its reviews being very good, and the pub having that nice olde feel We both opted for a festive 2 course lunch at £25 each The chilli chipolatas starter was tasty. My friend had the prawn cocktail And the main course was plentiful, Turkey, mash, roasties, yorky and 3 pigs n blankets maybe a little more veg would have been great, enough for 1 person i thought, but it was served by smiling waitress, who checked on us later to see if we were happy with our food. We were both full up and happy. I would definitely recommend it, and I'll be coming back again soon”
