“I enjoyed my visit to home bargains as I found some real bargains on the day. I enjoy knitting and I found balls of wool here that were a really good price and the colours I was looking for. The only let down was we were wanting a cold drink as the day was very hot. There was no drinks in their fridges only cold coffee and milk. This was a shame and we were a little disappointed.”

“You can describe it as a supermarket. It looks small from the outside, but once inside, you will be amazed by the wide range and variety of products at affordable prices. I come from Belgium and see a big price difference for exactly the same products. Really good that this store is open every day until 10:00pm. A big difference with Burnley market. How can you go shopping there when all these stores are already closed at 5:00 pm. Maybe people who work shouldn't go shopping? So a big bonus for the folks at this store. Keep it up.”

“Great prices/deals on food. There are lots of items to choose from and great bulk buying deals. Staff are mostly friendly and helpful ! The only downfall is that there's no signage on the isles, so you spend most of the time walking up and down looking for something.”

“I really like coming into asda in burnley because it is a very big supermarket and they sell a wide variety of electricals as well as food and all your other obvious supermarket products. I bought a microwave from here about 6 months ago and it recently started sparking on me! I brought it back to asda (luckily i still had the original box and receipt!) and they changed it for me no problem and i actually ended up with a different microwave that was much better than the one i had previously bought. I think the freeview boxes are brilliant in here as well as you can buy them for only £15 and they work like a treat.”

“The owner cal is a great customer focused and people guy, i think the shops sucess is down to him.The prices are ok not as cheap as say farmfoods but is based off spar prices uk, the quality is very good.”

“I like it here but wish it opened a bit later! Clothes are reasonably priced and the food is always really fresh. Staff are friendly and the store always tidy and aisles clear, even when they are stocking up. Last hour is a very quiet time to shop”

Doesn't get five stars because of the price of the petrol (not set by the employees obviously) and the lack of capacity (it's always queued out at the pumps and fuel purchases need to be manually processed). Decent variety of your usual Tesco products. Great if you're just getting shop floor groceries like milk and bread (and maybe a bag of croissants) because the self service card tills are always free.Be prepared to spend 10-15 minutes here Monday to Friday at peak times if you do need fuel.But, as stated at the start of the petrol station convenience shop review, pleasant and helpful staff.”

“I went in here to use the cash machine only. It looked very clean actually. The gentleman behind the counter was polite so all was good for a local shop for local people even though I wasn't actually local. I was just nipping in there to get some cash to pay Gilly for my haircut ?”

“Well managed SPAR with friendly staff. Convenient for all of the essentials albeit with some restriction of choice. Bit on the pricey side but there are regular special offers both as you enter and on aisle ends.”

“I've shopped at this Aldi for a few years now and wouldn't go anywhere else. HOWEVER when I go, I don't ever search to see opening hours but did today because when I went this morning, store was closed and entrance barricaded with no prior warning (I believe) and when I rang Aldi customer services they had NO knowledge of the store's situation (amazing)! All I wanted to know is when is it open again! I'm 81 and shop for an 87 yr old neighbour too on my 'hard work' visits, so such lack of information makes life harder than it could be.”

“My local Spar, always well stocked, clean and tidy with some offers onStaff always friendly and helpful and the Spar has a Post Office inside as wellWould recommend if you live in Harle Syke and need a few bits then the Spar is the place to go for you mini shops”

“I came in this morning and purchased a carton of apple concentrate as I had a thirst that needed quenching. I asked a member of staff where it was and she helped me efficiently and courteously. I proceeded to the checkout where I encountered a lovely young female member of staff who was absolutely amazing! Bravo for all your efforts, I can not rate you highly enough!”

“I live really close to the store so it's really handy, the prices of items are reasonable and seem to have everything in I need . I go in a lot ,there is a member of staff called jenny who is very pleasant and helpful ,she will go out of her way to help .she is a credit to your store”

“It's a fairly convenient place to drop your CollectPlus-Yodel parcels off at as they are held in a secure room behind the counter unlike some other shops.In the past few weeks I've been coming here, always found the staff to be helpful and polite - recommended. Reasonable amount of parking outside.”

“My husband, our three children, and I visited Morrisons Café after a late shopping trip. Our youngest was getting hungry, and we weren’t sure what to expect. However, the café truly surprised us.
The prices were excellent and the food was served in a clean and orderly manner. The portions were generous. We ordered two Ultimate Breakfasts, one Chicken Tikka Masala, and three Kids Meals, including Mac and Cheese, nuggets with fries and beans, and a mini breakfast, all for just £23.
The dishes were impeccable. Even the children’s meal had beans served separately in another dish, preventing them from spilling onto the fries. This attention to detail stood out, especially compared to other supermarket cafés where portions are often served in disposable containers, resulting in messy meals.
The staff were incredibly kind. Asima, our server, was exceptionally kind, she went above and beyond, even bringing a balloon to our table for our youngest child, a thoughtful gesture that we all appreciated. It’s rare to find such friendly staff these days. Other team members were equally helpful and smiling.
The manager was courteous as well. When I complimented the excellent service, he seemed genuinely appreciative. In a time when finding polite staff can be challenging, Morrisons Café exceeded our expectations and it truly stands out.
And there’s more, they provide coloring materials for kids to stay entertained while dining. Everything was clean, well-served, and the staff truly went the extra mile. We’ll definitely be returning! ?”

“I use to go to the spar on Padiham Road for my little bits but have been heading here. Great little local shop and very well priced alot cheaper than other bigger shops. Friendly staff and the owner has just bought some planters for out side the shop and looks great.”

“A very large Tesco store with a large car park and close proximity to Burnley Bus Station making it accessible to all. Wide variety of stock alongside other outlets such as pharmacist and tesco mobile shop onsite. Store is well laid out and everything is easy to find and staff on hand to help out when needed. Decent number of tills including seperate areas for self service and scan as you shop meaning there rarely is a queue when paying for your shopping. A definite showcase of what a supermarket should be like.”
