“Pets Corner Maidstone. a great little store bursting at the seams with lots of goodies for your pets. The staff are super friendly and helpful its a joy to shop there. Our little rescue boy loves going for all the yummy smells and lots of fuss and attention from the lovely staff!”

“Went in semi-open-minded, thinking of getting 2 or 3 gerbils. But they rightfully wouldn't sell until we had a cage, which they were out of stock of. But after lots of talking and reading, we changed our minds and got two adorable guinea pigs, being confident we could provide a happy home for the pair of bros. The staff were very informative and helpful and did a lot of due diligence to check we could give the animals a good life and understood their needs. Bedding and toys for rodents and small pets is good value for money. I would say they had a slightly smaller selection of animals than expected, e.g. only 4 gerbils and no rats or mice (lovely animals who have an unfairly bad rep). But loads of lovely guinea pigs and rabbits!!

If you haven't got a trusted spacious suitable and safe environment for a small animal, be prepared to spend around £50 for a good side indoor cage, £10 for excellent bedding, £10 for food and treats, and £20 for grooming and toys, even before you get an animal. Most hamsters are solitary and cost about £13, guinea pigs and rabbits are about £30 each but usually need to be bought in pairs. Gerbils were £10 I think but you should get 2 or 3 at least as a group of friends.

I didn't look at the fish stuff sorry! But the dog and cat treats/toys/handling tools etc looked like a great selection and the many dog owners seemed very happy in this shop”

“visited this shop today with my dog. the lads gave us a very warm welcome and the shop is delightful. easy to find with outside parking . lots of dog and puppy items to choose from. we shall certainly return @puppydogtails”
