Receptionists enjoy their power trips. They only work for the money. They do not care for patients and should not be working in the health industry. It's a shame. I feel for the elderly in the area. 0 empathy, 0 bedside manner. The star is only to be able to post the review. We need to start a petition to remove the two power hungry receptionists.

Tried to get appointment by phone,very busy ,got through to be told all appointments have gone,receptionist very apologetic, l did this twice.Decided to do an e consult at 8.00am which took 15 mins ,within 2 hours l had an appointment on Saturday at Shorne which l was happy with.l know this is not ideal for everyone but a lot of people are ill ,including GPs and resources are under strain so that's why l have given 5 *Well done Istead Rise and thankyou.

Never get appointment, never get to see or speak to doctor. Can't keep using COVID as an excuse not too operate properly.

It's appalling now. In the old days proper doctors Dr Patel and Dr Payne brilliant. There are good doctors there but you have no chance of seeing one. I rang 111 as I had a severe cough and temperature and it was getting worse I'm 76yrs and hardly ever sick. 111 said they sent a referral and to ring doctor for an appointment. That was a Weds, they offered me Saturday!! I said forget it in disgust. My notes later on showed suspected Covid!! I had done 3 tests prior. They used it as an excuse to cover themselves for not seeing me. Shocking service.

This surgery is a joke they throw you around in circles telling you to call 111 just to get referred back to them just because they can?t be asked to do their job absolute joke when you call them everyone is laughing and joking yet they are ?super busy? joke of a surgery

Appointment system unfit for purpose. It's not even an appointment system as you can't call up and book appointments...I called for a (non-emergency) appointment, and was told that no appointments were left for today. I don't need one today or even this week, I'm happy to wait. No, you have to call back tomorrow - you can only make appointments at 8:30am each day. What if you're on the school run, or you work nights/shifts? I was advised I could fill out an e-consult form online. Oh OK great - I'll do that. No, you can only do that at 8am. Why can't I fill it out now for them to read tomorrow at 8:30am? If I call at 8:30am, and miraculously get an appointment for that day, it's no good as I'll be at work, as I wouldn't have been able to book the time off for the appointment. How is anyone supposed to plan their lives like this?Bizarre. I live walking distance from the surgery but I'm considering moving surgeries as this is an awful service.

I wish I could leave 0 stars!!!! This review is for the SUMMER HOUSE SURGERY BEXLEY!!! I am someone who NEVER ever goes to the doctors but I'm a women and we all no at some point we women have no option but to go.I was waiting for a call back for over a week for some results and had hear nothing so thought I'd give the Summerhouse Surgery in Bexley a quick call.....OMG HOW RUDE was the receptionist!!!!!!!!! I was literally just asking for an update on my Nurses call I'd had as I needed some medication and the receptionist couldn't be any ruder to me, tutting, huffing and puffing at my questions and getting annoyed at me when I asked her to check something for me!!!! I was absolutely fuming and still am!!Looking at most of the reviews on here the majority seems to be about the reception staff, so why don't they read these reviews and do something about it, surly that's part of a practice managers job, people, like that don't deserve jobs, if they don't like working with the public then find another job, there are plenty of much nicer people out there who need jobs!!They should not be allowed to behave like that with people.What also amazed me was that while I was waiting a life time for them to even answer the phone there was an automated message saying please be respectful to our staff we do not tolerate rudeness , oh but it's ok for your staff members to behave that way to the public!!!

Polite and professional staff.Just like any medical center at the moment they are struggling but I?ve been very impressed with how much they try to help and resolve problems where they can.

This surgery is simply not fit for purpose. When a patient is ill, they need ease of access to an appointment.My mum has been suffering for a week, hoping her issues would ease and didn't want to bother the GPs. However, yesterday she finally gave up and tried to get an appointment. The phone system was only taking messages. We went to the surgery and we were told they can't do appointments on the desk and that we should call in the morning.This morning she has called up, got through to the appointments line but is 13th in the queue. She finally got through, answered a few questions and now waits to hear whether she gets to see a GP or just a call at some stage today. Exhausting and at a time when she is feeling vulnerable.Inconsistencies in approach except consistently appalling patient focus. Staff are excellent. However, the leaders need to refocus their attention on why they are there in the first place.

I?ve been on the practice list for 53 years since the surgery was in Biddenden even before Fairview. This surgery is now so bad, it?s become a joke. Can never see my own doctor, appointments are like gold dust, call backs up to 8pm from an overflow hub. Can?t book advanced appointments. Whilst some of the surgery staff are extremely helpful, some are extremely rude. Maybe if the system went back to the old way, more people would be seen and this place could restore its reputation
