“Car key remote repair. After extensive research and phone calls, I eventually found John at Timpsons in Sainsbury's at Folkestone. He has been the only person to have the skills and knowledge to be able to solder a new button on to a key fob.
I had two Land Rover fobs which each had a button not working. John managed to solder on two replacement buttons, and then supply and fit both modules into new cases with a new blade cut to match.
I am absolutely delighted to now have two fully working key fobs for much less than the price of one brand new one, which incidentally is what all the other key repairs establishments said was the only way to do it!!!!.
If you have a remote with just one of the buttons not working, get yourself to see John and get it repaired rather than replaced.

“Went in today to get new batteries for my Jacob & co watch. The young lady behind the counter was very helpful and knowledgeable.

I've previously took it to another timpson in Broadstairs and as the inner workings were so intricate the man there refused to do the job once he opened it up (to be fair I don't blame him. It's nice to know the gentleman knew his limitations and didn't want to risk damaging the watch).

This lady however done an exceptional job and I even brought a new strap. I highly recommend her. On top of that it was £100 cheaper than another high street chain I went too that day.

I'm now going to go back with my suede shoe collection to see if she can restore some of them.
