“I experienced a detached retina at midnight Wednesday. Walked into Specsavers 1000 Thursday. Was seen immediately and referred by the Optometrist to Maidstone Hospital Rapid access clinic. They saw me Thursday afternoon and arranged for me to have surgery at St Thomas' Hospital London. The operation was completed on Saturday morning.An impressively fast, professional and caring process involving clinicians and admin staff in Specsavers and two NHS hospitals. Brilliant. Thank you.”
