“We came with friends for lunch at The Pig. What an impression of excellence it left on us. The place, the staff, and the food are all faultless. We will certainly be returning.”
“I had a flat tyre and managed to roll into their car park. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating, I was offered a cup of tea and could wait in the warm until someone could come and get me. Looking forward to going there again for some food one day!”
“A fabulous place. Everything was so clean and fresh. The room was warm and cosy and the kitchen was well equipped.Despite being so central to the city it was wonderfully quiet and just down the road from an inexpensive car park....which is rare in Canterbury!I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a reasonably priced place to stay in Canterbury for a few nights.I absolutely loved my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone.Delighted.”

“Great place to stay with friends, we booked 5 rooms. Normally stay at the travelodge over the road, but the rooms here are bigger and cleaner. Already to book for next year, we loved it. Food and drinks were on the ball, and considering how busy it was the waiting time was not to long.
Rooms: Very spacious and a good layout. Rooms are on the second floor, but there is a lift to get you up there after a few at the bar.
Nearby activities: Your in Canterbury, so there are lot's of activities, shopping or pubs to visit.
Food and drinks: Your staying at a spoons, the food is always great value for money. I like ales, so this is the place for me. I've been coming here once a year for over 15 years, and have never been disappointed.”
“For the price point, this place was great! The room we had (room 3) was spacious with a canopy bed + a single bed. There were a lot of spider webs + spiders in the bathroom, so that knocked it down for me a bit. Otherwise, for that price you can't beat it.The full English breakfast buffet included with the room was excellent too.”
“Great location, lovely and very attentive staff (even with French people whose English is not "fluent"). Price more than fair knowing that it includes breakfasts and parking on site. The only downside: the rooms could do with a little restoration (safe in the room blocked and beeping continuously, shower head leaking, heating a little light, especially for the bathroom) and the cleaning services households (bed remade "on the surface" but not what serves as a fitted sheet, trash forgotten in the middle of the room).Despite these very small inconveniences, a very pleasant 4-day stay in a very pretty setting and an ideal location for discovering the city center on foot.”

“Came last Friday 17th January for a night room was lovely staff was lovely from the moment I arrived and the moment I checked out Thanks for a lovely stay last Friday”
“Very budget. Good points: clean rooms, staff friendly and helpful, location excellent, good breakfast. Room for improvement: no bath mat, no tooth mugs, after 30min only paid for WiFi. Apart from breakfast, bar/restaurant closed during our stay due to staff issues. Would stay again due to location and good staff.”
“Had Mother's Day breakfast here at 09:30hrs. Great service, great food, and at a great price. Catered for an alergy sufferer, and she could have everything she wanted!! Will definitely go back.Lots of parking spaces, too!Nearby activities: Right next to the Park and Ride but with its own car park, so no problems parking.Food & drinks: Set menu for mothers day was great value. Around £16 for a full English with prosecco (or 2 soft drinks as a substitute).”
