A fantastic day lead by a wonderful lady named GillReally fun having plenty of practice on the trowing wheel in the morning and slab work in the afternoon with a choice to stay on the wheel if preferred- couldn’t have been better if I’d organised it myself!

Aylesford Pottery in Kent is a friendly commercial pottery in the South East of England making a range of handmade ceramics, specialising in hand thrown (on the potter’s wheel), hand built and small-batch cast ceramics. Master potters Alan Parris and Billy Byles run the pottery, creating a combination of studio pottery and commissions for various artists, restaurants, gift shops and architects.
Aylesford School of Ceramics offers several experience and course options which are suitable for people who have never touched clay as well as more advanced potters looking for expert guidance to perfect the craft.
