Lodging in Ventnor, Isle of Wight

“My husband and I had a champagne cream tea at the weekend.
We live locally and have had many lovely afternoons/evenings at this delightful hotel.
As always the gardens are absolutely beautiful (especially as it was a blue sky sunny day) the staff attentive, professional and friendly. Although we are always happy with the food, this was by far the best cream tea we have ever had ! Enough for me to write a review as did not want this to go unnoticed.
The scones were delicious and super fresh as were the finger sandwiches (I'm a vegetarian so the choice is not always exciting, but it certainly was on this occasion) and the really tasty cakes. I usually take what I can't eat home, but it was so exceptional,I managed to eat it all !!!!!!
There was also no compromise with the champagne, it was top quality.
Extremely high standards, arguably the best on the Island.”

“Food was absolutely superb, the only disappointment was it was fully booked for the rest of our stay so couldn't return.
The lasagne was as good as the build up from other reviews and according to other in our group so was the salmon tagliatelle and garlic bread.
I thoroughly recommend a visit, just ensure you book early.”

“I came to eat at the wight mouse inn today and first impressions were great.
The menu had a great choice and prices not bad.
Food was absolutely great and portion sizes were large so you got value for money.
The staff were very friendly and the speed of the food was under 10 mins.

“We had a brilliant couple of weeks at Appuldurcombe in June this year. We celebrated my wife's significant birthday with all of our family and filled the Farmhouse and Ox House for the weekend and hosted a lunch party for 30 people. We stayed on in the Farmhouse for the week before moving into the annexe, Willow Cottage, which was just right for the 2 of us.All the properties were well equipped and ideal for the family (spanning 3 generations) get-together. John and Tracey were extremely helpful and did everything they could to make our stay memorable.Appuldurcombe is a very special place - with a really relaxed, and relaxing, atmosphere and amazing views across to the mainland and Sandown Bay.We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back!”
