Went here on a whim as saw the new reviews. Was stunned to see how the new owners have changed things for the better. Everything fresh and local, never heard of farm to fork before but you can tell from the quality of the meat. Really cosy date night vibes in the evening. Food was absolutely lovely and well presented. Staff were friendly and attentive. Oh and there's chickens outside ? Honestly, what more can you ask for! This place offers such a better experience than some of the other pubs in the area.

Absolutely fantastic roast dinner. Definitely one of the best pub roasts I have had.
Good portion sizes - plenty of meat and veg, just enough food to feel properly full but not uncomfortable.
Food came quickly and staff were friendly and attentive.

Fantastic farm to fork pub restaurant. Great produce, wonderfully cooked and served in a relaxed pub restaurant atmosphere, lovely staff, dog friendly and well priced for the top quality grub. Highly recommend.

The lambsagne was absolutely amazing, staff were polite and kind, and a huge range of IOW drinks behind the bar. All in all very good experience

Absolutely lovely little gem. The Lambsagne was amazing (we did not expect it to be). The chips are divine and the staff are pleasant. Even the ladies room is well-equipped.

So my fussy son who is very particular about what he eats cant get enough of this place.
The food is really tasty and reasonable for the price. Love the farm to fork ethos.
We have visited twice and will visit again while we are on holiday. We have sampled main menu and Sunday roast and quality is the same each time.
The pub and restaurant have clearly had a great refurbishment and it all has lovely touches and makes it feel cosy.
Owners and staff are attentive and friendly.
It actually upsets my son that it doesn't seam as busy as it should be as it really is great produce.

7 of us had dinner at The Sun in Calbourne yesterday. It was the first time the pub was serving dinner in the evening on a Sunday (finished at 5pm previously) and the hospitality and service was second to none. The staff were friendly and attentive and the food and drinks were excellent (especially the Irish coffee!?)
The produce is farm to plate, the majority of which is all produced locally with provenance shown on a board in the pub.
Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely outstanding Sunday roast, everything is cooked to perfection and they have a board which list who supplies the ingredients and where from. It?s the best Sunday roast I think I?ve ever had. Staff are friendly and attentive and the service is amazing. Highly recommend a visit here, you won?t be disappointed. 5 star in every way!

No one gets 5 stars! Our Sunday lunch at The Sun was absolutely delicious, our party had a selection of Lamb & Beef roast dinners everyone?s meal was delicious and impossible to fault. The service was exemplary; friendly, good humoured and quietly efficient. The pub is a great mix of traditional pub ambiance with a clean modern aesthetic. We had a fabulous relaxing time. Highly recommend.

Three of us on bikes pitched up for lunch on a Wednesday and were met with a very warm welcome. We ordered from the special 'light lunch' menu and were very pleased - fresh ingredients and delicious. The new owners are trying very hard and deserve to be supported.
