You can't blame the staff, they are only working with what they have got!I made a special 22 mile round trip to Stevenage today to exchange some Swiss Francs, only to be told that the counter closes at 2pm!! (It was 2.30). Website and note on door says branch closes at 3pm.Staff were able to help me after a bit of persuading.Where is Barclays going?? I'm a staff pensioner and how things have changed - for the MUCH worse since I left some 17 years ago.The managers and directors are to blame, they have little regard for their customers living in the real world. Not all transactions are possible online, on the APP, on the phone, at the post office, in the library, at a machine or between the hours of 10 and 2!!!!Why don't you be a pioneer Barclays, and provide a service that your customers actually want and need.

I had to travel 35 miles, an afternoon off work and pay parking JUST to pay money into my Barclays account. This is unacceptable. If you are going to close ALL your branches atleast raise the limit you can pay in your local Post office so you dont have to travel miles and pay petrol & parking fees just to use your chosen bank. DISGUSTING SERVICE.

No counter staff after 2pm and the machines don't except any coins. Even when the counter is open there is only one so the queue is so long.

As with many other Barclays branches this has less staff and more customers hence staff forcing customers to use online and apps most of the time. It feels as if the staff are there to order the customers to get your grips with the computers, apps and the internet. Technology has the last laugh. I'm not against the technology but the human interest and touch seem less important when it comes to customer interaction. Bearing in mind this is not something against the Barclays branches staff but in general the bank's philosophy to place profit ahead of their customers by reducing the interaction times with the latter.
