We stayed here for three nights with friends whilst visiting family and friends. The place has undergone a refurb and has gone with the dark heritage colours that are on trend at the moment, whilst this is cosy in the bar areas it can make the rooms very dark. Awful food - lukewarm, tasteless, over-priced. Loud music which apparently cannot be lowered despite another couple also requesting the same. Young staff simply said write to management - we hate it too! This venue was a favourite for decades but since refurb has gone downhill my a mile. Such a shame. Will not return.
