She really made sure I liked my shoes before buying and also double checked everything to make sure I had the perfect shopping experience. “Nice big clothing section stretching across two floors and a large selection of sizes and choices to pick. The foodhall is a little bit cramped and it's hard to walk through especially the fridge section but high quality food products.”

“I saw an add on my phone about a special offer at Mataland. So, I went to my local store at West Quay retail park. I went inside and was looking around for the item.I found the entire store to be really tidy and well set out as if it had just opened.I found a member of staff who, I later discovered was the manageress. I bought the item on offer and continued to look around the store. I was very impressed by everything. I don’t normally shop here but upon seeing this immaculately displayed store I will definitely be coming back again.The prices are also very good value too.”

“I went into store about a month ago at my wits end because I couldn’t find a pair of shoes for a dress that I’d brought for a wedding. I went in and showed two very helpful employees the dress and they immediately knew which pair I needed to complete the look. Today I attended said wedding and wore the pair together and they were absolutely right they worked amazing. I cannot thank them enough for their help. “Came to this river island to pick up and order and the girl who served me was nice, quick and efficient! River Island is one of my favourite stores to shop from, as it’s affordable, student friendly and such high quality!The aesthetics, the quality of the clothing is through the roof and don’t even get me started on the bags (as I have 5 now and going to add more to my collection), the shop has some of the best affordable and nice looking bags on the high streetDefinitely a loyal customer for life! ”

“As an inpatient I have found the shop to be quite useful. May be slightly more expensive than normal, but can't beat it for convenience. Where else can you get fresh fruit, cooked chicken and lots of nibbles and cold drinks whilst you popped out of the ward in your pyjamas .?”

“Smallish unit but does have a good range of clothes and trainers. Can be difficult to move around when busy. Friendly staff although they didn't seem too interested in selling anything on the day I visited.”

“I entered the store today with the intention of getting some advice on some counterfeit shoes I had purchased online. Two of the staff (Mr Datlen & Oliver) were incredibly helpful and resourceful in helping me resolve my shoe dilemma. They were knowledgable and also emphatic towards the situation. While I did not purchase anything from the shop, I am very happy with the service they provided and will be looking forward to buying from them very shortly. They were excellent, thank you.Jack”

“This is the first time I've been in this New Look since they moved to a different part of the shopping centre. The staff instantly get 5 star! I feel bad voting down a star and the only reason I've done so is that the new store is so cramped its impossible to find anything.I knew exactly what I wanted (online browser) and saw it was meant to be in stock in this store. I searched the store and couldn't find it so went outside to check my phone just to be sure. I went back in and chatted to the lovely ladies behind the till who found the item (hidden behind stock that was not at all similar) but the size I needed was nowhere to be found. I showed the ladies my phone and even they were baffled as to where this correctly sized item could be hiding. Eventually it was found and sorted but it did take some time.So yea simply put; staff great and went out of their way to help, but store far too small for that much stock.”

“I visited this store in October 2017 for curiosity. It sells almost everything. I decided to buy a good quality backpack as it was cheap. I also bought a few Adidas football shirts whose price was reduced. They are my favourite ones. A few years later, I bought a good quality belt which I use to these days.”
