“They closed 15 mins early on Sunday. It say open till 4 but they lock the doors and turn away nearly 20 customers. The security guard was rude to the customers that came after me. Most people don’t finish work early enough to be there at least 10 minutes before they shut.”

“Conveniently located Tesco Express directly on the walking route from Fratton Station to Eastney Naturist Beach but could do with a wider range of sandwiches + fruit and veg. However the Tesco Extra is only 0.25 miles away if you need this extra choice.”

And let's face it, if you went to a bigger store, you'd probably buy a load of stuff you didn't really need, so you'd spent a lot more plus travel costs.Use it or lose it, like our Sainsbury's Local.”

“I use this Tesco store all the time because I live close by, currently I shop here 4 or 5 times a week because I walk and find it difficult if my shopping bags are too heavy. I rarely have a problem with staff but I can guarantee the staff are likely to have problems with customers.”

“There's not a lot that can be said that would influence a decision to shop at sainsburys. It has a good reputation, and generally is a great place to shop.
Personally I find the signage intensely irritating in that you have to get to an aisle to be able to read what is in it, which prevents a rapid shop if that's what you want.
Bearing in mind tesco does do this, I prefer to shop at tesco!
While it may be a marketing ploy - you have to go to every aisle and therefore might purchase things you didn't expect to, the consumer doesn't need to be subjected to such retrograde strategies. Treat us well, and we'll buy more.”
