“When it said it closes at 11pm but it closed at 10:15pm. Like I understand that workers wanna leave earlier or rest, leaving 45mins early is outrageous. Please review :)”

“Love this shop.. after a full night on the packet and 3 pay cheques later i hit this place up at 4am for my last few beers of the night (sometimes a bottle of voddy) the locals outside are always drunk and friendly and always ask to dispose of my small change. 10/10 would come again”

“I have used this Premier since moving to the area, always a smile and a chat with the owner and staff. It has all the usual things for a corner shop, I am rarely disappointed.”

“This shop is amazing, the new owner is brilliant. Friendly and chatty. They nearly always have what I need and if they don’t they make sure to get it for me. I come here most days.”

“A proper chippy. Superbly crisp chips and well fried fish. Best enjoyed 'open' so the food doesn't go soggy (as would always happen). Quite probably the best take away chippy in the area.”

“They closed 15 mins early on Sunday. It say open till 4 but they lock the doors and turn away nearly 20 customers. The security guard was rude to the customers that came after me. Most people don’t finish work early enough to be there at least 10 minutes before they shut.”

“Visited today, its great to be able to take our dog in as I don't like leaving him outside the shop so in lots of shops me and my husband end up going in separately. The lady who served us was really nice and my dog Toto agrees a not only did she make him welcome she gave him a treat. Its so handy having this shop so local when in so many places shops like this are closing. Keep up the good work.”

“Staff are all good in this place. Very polite and welcoming. Some of your prices are absolutely ridiculously over priced though. I’m in absolute shock at the prices being up to triple what you would find elsewhere. Ripping people off for convenience it appears.”

“Conveniently located Tesco Express directly on the walking route from Fratton Station to Eastney Naturist Beach but could do with a wider range of sandwiches + fruit and veg. However the Tesco Extra is only 0.25 miles away if you need this extra choice.”

“I use this Tesco store all the time because I live close by, currently I shop here 4 or 5 times a week because I walk and find it difficult if my shopping bags are too heavy. I rarely have a problem with staff but I can guarantee the staff are likely to have problems with customers.”

“Good supermarket! They have a great selection of Indian spices, which really helped me cook my favorite Indian dishes at home. It’s not always easy to find what I need in one place, but this store made it simple.”

“Large store, plenty of parking, pop in here for things I can't get at better value stores. Usually get my replacement bedding for my Southsea caravans business here.”

“Thank you Tesco Esso Express at Copnor Road for having petrol this morning, you rescued us when we were getting desperate! Thank you too for the efficient way your staff were managing the flow of traffic, they must have been so uncomfortable in the heavy rain and soaked through. Thank you too for the staff member who watched the back of my car to make sure I avoided the bollard. Great service!”

“It's a Tesco in current year, so if you're surprised by the relatively high prices you may not have popped in one for a while. However as a it's a major supermarket chain it seems a little silly to review the company as a whole here. Instead the 5 stars are for excellent staff performance from a customer's perspective.”

“The staff ate all friendy and helpful. The only parking is on residential streets and the prices are a bit higher than the big stores BUT I don't mind paying the extra few pence if it means we keep having a store that's within walking distance. And let's face it, if you went to a bigger store, you'd probably buy a load of stuff you didn't really need, so you'd spent a lot more plus travel costs.Use it or lose it, like our Sainsbury's Local.”

“An excellent generally well stocked convenience store in perfect position for local community. Regularly has a wide range of special offers. Helpful friendly staff. My only criticism is the limited range of pet food and treats, mostly expensive high end dog treats. Needs a larger range of budget treats. Otherwise a great and useful shop.”

“I love coming here. The security man on the door (when he is there) always says hello and bye to everyone that walks in, it makes for such a pleasant welcome to the shop. And recently I have encountered a younger lady who wears glasses and has red hair. She is amazing with my daughter (2 years old). She will come over crouch down and have a chat with her about what she is doing and my daughter loves it.Both staff members have gone above and beyond their duties, please give them a bonus!”

“Convenient store with friendly staff. Well stocked. Nice size car park. Good selection of breakfast bakery and they taste very nice too. The automated checkout could do with a clean (yuk). 1 star deducted.”
