“Reviewing the restaurant (when will Google sort out the dilemma of eating places sometimes being sleeping places outside the US?!)With the closure of Restaurant 27 in Southsea, the other numerical restaurant in SE Hampshire - 36 On The Quay - has the field almost to itself at the top end of the market. There are others, but these two stood out.It will now be even harder to get a reservation here but the wait is worth it. The food is really excellent and always a friendly smile with the service. The menus are different and unusual, miles away from the gastropub efforts more representative of middle England.Excellent wine list although the range of beers is minimal.Highly, highly recommended.Parking can be tricky on summer weekend evenings.”

“Really convenient hotel! Easy to get to, park in and really nice that it has a Starbucks attached to it. The rooms are mostly clean, staff are friendly and the beds comfortable.Petrol station just across the road so you can grab some essentials and fuel. Really quiet as well despite the dual carriageway right outside.Rooms: Clean and pretty big for the price.Nearby activities: Starbucks downstairs attached to the building. Good for breakfasts.”
