“Home Bargains, always a brilliant place to shop, lots of mixed items. The cleaning isle is very well stocked and also, the entrance offers are good but often, first to buy and seldom to return so don't hang about, once it's gone, it's likely to be gone for good. I think Home Bargains are the new "go to store", in my opinion, so much better than B and M and similar stores. It seems to have a nicer atmosphere than the other stores, I feel comfortable buying items here. Only thing I ask for though, please bring back the Spear and Jackson narrow blade scrappers.”

“Amazing free-from section, love that it is all together in one aisle. New(ish) baby changing room is great so both parents can change baby rather than being in women’s bathroom, however really needs a baby changing mat rather than just a sideboard.”

“Mad dash for baccy of all things after finding main Tesco Cigarette/ tobacco counter closes at 9pm now. Pleased to find that Lychpit Tesco Express still serves from baccy counter until 11pm. I know, I should stop smoking, I will, soon! Friendly staff ??”

“Poignant and poetic but pokey. This One Stop screams Basildon but nestles itself humourously in the heart of a quaint and hospitable village. My initial thoughts? Half baked. Once I surrounded myself within its brown bricked setting, I succumbed to its convenience: bread, biscuits and milk. For your first grocery choice in Oakley, choose One Stop, be 'that guy'. 4 stars.”

“I took my daughter shopping for some trousers she could wear while doing work experience. We looked at a lot of shops before coming here. She found a couple of pairs of trousers that she liked, tried them on and bought one. The shop was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the store.”

“A small little store for quick on the go shopping. Has lots of options. Can definitely be overpriced if you leave shopping for the week a bit late. But otherwise nice for snacks, quick meals, drinks and booze.”

“Best Place in Basingstoke For Travel money, The staff are really nice and I have never needed order money in as they have always have the currency in to buy. The first time I went here I noticed the place in town was a tiny bit better rate but they price matched it for me so I always go here now :)”

“I have always liked Iceland they have some great deals . Great variety. But they are not as cheap as they use to be . So I do not do a full shop here . The bakery is very good”

“There's Love out there...I'm currently limited to social engagement due to supporting my son who has many health conditions. We needed some groceries today and i couldn't get a delivery. I went to Old Basing Coop, and thought id chance my hand and telephone them to request they bring my groceries to me in my car. They obliged with a smile and respect! “Located at nice place at Lynch pit central with different trails taking to swing swang lane from daneshill park wood or from Cromwell indian restaurant route. 5 min drive away from town center. Although small tesco with got what I wanted when visited couple of times, meal deal with plant based option and sweet/salt pop corn. Decent car park and lot of plum trees when we cross road from tesco adjacent to bus stop. 2 or 3 self serve tills and not so busy when visited 2 times in the evening. Good stop by place for any walkers, joggers for a drink or snack.”

“I was absolutely delighted by the way I was treated at M&S Chineham. I broke down outside and was awaiting the AA. At the same time I only had a few bars on my phone so went into the store to enquire if I could borrow a phone charger. The man who I dealt with (sorry didn’t catch his name) went above and beyond to try to help me. They let me charge my phone and also let me have a cup of tea and sandwich for my 3 year old. My baby even had a banana. Well done M&S!!!!”

“I went to this branch quite late at night, typically only needing one thing. I ended up holding much more than I could bear and dropped milk EVERYWHERE. I found a member of staff, and felt so bad, I offered to clean it up. He said absolutely not, that he would do it and it was ok. I didn’t ask for his name, but he had really kind eyes and a friendly smile!”
