From my very first phone call to the Royton office the staff have been absolutely brilliant, friendly and so helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

I found Kate to be very helpful, particularly in resolving the issue with the cellar leak prior to the completion of my property purchase. Her assistance was greatly appreciated.
There is still room for improvement, especially in maintaining clearer communication with customers and offering more flexibility when arranging viewings. While most agents at Habitat have been helpful and polite, I did encounter one instance where an agent was rude when I attempted to arrange a second viewing.
Overall, my experience with Habitat was positive, and I would be happy to recommend their services.

Moving house is a stressful experience, communication between Estate Agents and solicitors is important to keep these stress levels down. Katie and Habitat were always helpful and available and responded to any queries very promptly.

Selling your first home is a big deal. It?s emotional, stressful and full of unknowns - especially when you?re also heavily pregnant and juggling a million other things. I knew I wanted to feel like more than just another name on a spreadsheet. That?s why I chose Habitat.
They?re a small, independent and female-run estate agent based in Oldham. That was important to me. The property industry can feel very male and impersonal, and I wanted to work with people who?d treat me like a real person and not just a sales target.
They had great reviews, knew the local area well, and I hoped that going with a smaller team would mean more personal service. The only hesitation I had was that they were more expensive than some other agencies. But in the end, that extra cost was 100% worth it.
From day one, they were warm, helpful and super professional. I mainly dealt with Amelia, Shauna and Katie, and they were brilliant. Straight-talking, good at what they do, and just genuinely nice people. I had to rearrange the photos a few times due to decorators and pregnancy sickness, and they were really understanding and accommodating ? no stress, no fuss.
They gave great advice on pricing and presentation, handled all the viewings, and kept me in the loop throughout. Once I was ready to move forward properly (after the baby arrived), they got the ball rolling and we had an offer not long after. Communication was excellent the whole way through, which was the biggest thing for me. I never had to chase or wonder what was going on.
Towards the end of the process, we hit a couple of bumps with the buyer. Nothing major, but enough to need a bit of managing ? and the girls handled it all with tact and common sense. Then the day before completion, of course something went wrong? a leak from the stop tap. I?d already handed in the keys, but Katie sorted one of their plumbers to go round and fix it. Lifesaver.
The sale went through smoothly, and I ended up with a serious buyer and a result I was happy with. I?d definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone selling in Oldham. Yes, they charge a bit more than some other agents, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. They?re proactive, they know their stuff, and they keep you informed every step of the way. That peace of mind is worth paying for.
If I ever do anything else property-wise in the area, I?ll be straight back to Habitat without question.

Our experience with this property management company has been extremely disappointing, though I must acknowledge that Miss Shauna Sanderson has been very supportive throughout this ordeal. Unfortunately, it seems the situation is beyond her control, and the lack of action from others has left us in an unbearable situation.
We?ve been dealing with a broken back boiler for months, and despite repeated assurances that the issue would be resolved before Christmas, nothing has been done. As a result, we couldn?t celebrate the holidays, couldn?t use our living room, and have been forced to endure freezing conditions in our home.
My wife, who is now 14 weeks pregnant, has been severely affected. She suffers from pregnancy rhinitis and struggles to stay warm despite using a small electric heater. She has to make multiple nightly trips to the bathroom, leaving her in cold and uncomfortable conditions, which has caused her significant distress.
While Ms Shauna Sanderson has communicated updates as best as she can, it?s difficult to understand how parts for the repair were supposedly ordered without any plumber visiting to assess the issue. This feels like negligence and poor planning, which has only prolonged our suffering.
This situation has been a nightmare, and while I appreciate Miss Sanderson?s support, the overall handling of our case by the company has been unacceptable. I urge them to prioritize tenants? well-being in the future.
