“Cheap prices. Although some of the 'big brands' for example Rits crackers (the mini crackers [I love them to be honest]),there is a knock off and i think it's called 'salted crackers'. It tastes exactly like Rits, and looks exactly like Rits.”

“This is smaller than oldhams and how its set out is not as good as oldham. But i managed to get what i wanted, but it took a lot of looking, lol. The staff were very nice and helpful. One of the staff members took me to find an item i wanted. I thought that was very kind of him”

“Amazing store to vist for freshly baked bakery its has very warm and lovely staff so polite and always smiling as we'll as the Muslim girls they so you a warm welcome every time you visit. So please anyone who needs freshly baked French sticks sausage rolls doughnuts ? crusty cob rolls etc this shop as it all get down to this place it's nice store I have bin in through out great Manchester and this beats it the other store's.”

“This home bargains appears to have more stock and choice than the one in Oldham town centre. However the tills can be busy and they don't seem to want to open anymore. The staff could also smile more maybe they need to put some sky lights in to let natural light boost the mood. There is always plenty of parking just be careful as people can't park very well.”

“I would like to leave a review in respect of the experience I had this morning at Oldham foods Oldham. There was an incident with a young school boy. I was behind him in the queue and the manager was called. The cashier dealt with the issue calmly and called for the manager to deal with the situation.When the manager arrived, he was firm but fair with the school boy and dealt with the incident with efficiency and understanding.I was really impressed with how he handled the situation and felt that I needed to let him know. Well done!”

“Everything was perfect till I got to the check out the security person thought it was funny to get up in my mums face n tell her dead aggressive to move to the next till I wunt be going shows aldi anytime soon ... just a good job the girl on the till was very joyful n perked my mum back up .... security on a power trip”

“Great shop with a fantastic selection of frozen foods. Genuine Greggs stuff and other main restaurants are also selling there now. TGIs, Chiquito and Frankie and Bennys as well as a great weight watchers selection.”

“This is somewhat in the town centre close enough to the Oldham Library. It's clean, tidy and like most Sainsbury's, has good quality and selection of goods. I only wish Sainsbury's would put most of their stores in the community. I understand Sainsbury's is slightly behind Tesco as far as "Average price for 72 items" (Which, 2024), however, this is needed to boost the environmental ambience of Oldham.”

“So I was overcharged for cigarettes
I bought 2 packs but she charged me 3 packets
So contacted customer centre they said they’ll tell the store
So on Monday I asked a blonde woman in desk she knew nothing of it

It’s a new staff member her name is Sabiha
She previously overcharged me 2 months ago and because I did not ask for a receipt I couldn’t get a refund
It’s happened yet again this Sunday same woman overcharged me.. I was very nervous going to her but again I didn’t get reciept as you don’t with cigarettes… she didn’t offer it either

Please stop overcharging your customers!!!

“Their price is a bit expensive compared to other supermarkets in town.Because I went but they miss some vegetables even today and many other things. But I also recommend you to do your shopping a lot, maybe next they will bring a lot of things to serve the people in this city. Thanks”

“Nice big store with a pharmacy and a huge cloths dept upstairs with a electronics dept , staff are all very helpful especially on the customer service desk , big thanks to the youngsters on there like Robyn ,danish and the others great help always greet you with a big smile and thanks to Lisa the management for sorting out my problem, it's a good shopping experience when the staff are helpful to there customers”

“Low priced Tesco fuel, if using the self service you might find the printer at the fuel pump has run out of paper and most other pump too, probably due to how busy this fuel station is.”

“I had an unfortunate experience in this store approx 1 month ago whilst shopping in there at approx 9.30pm on a Monday night. Whilst viewing items, I was pulled by a Security guard to search my bag as he thought I was shop lifting, obviously nothing was found. He then told me to leave the store and that I was banned from entering again. This was not backed up by a member of staff who knows me from shopping there earlier in the day, and have done so for the past few years.
I made an immediate complaint to their customer service dept at Head Office who apologised for the humiliation I had encountered, and informed me I am not and should never have been banned from the store.
Since then I have still visited the store but less frequently than I used to. However, today when I visited I must add that even though the store was busy - all staff were very helpful - lots of smiles- fancy dress and even giving out mince pies to customers as they walked through the door.”

“It's nowhere near as bad as a lot of these reviews suggest. They usually have what I'm looking for, prices and service are generally okay. The one thing I'm not happy about is the scarcity of the smaller shopping trolleys outside the store - I often have to wait several minutes until one becomes available. This has been an issue for quite a few months now: surely it shouldn't be too difficult for the management to order a couple of dozen more of these things?”
