“The best small shop in the town. They have it all from different nationalities—great prices and always helpful staff. They are constantly checking product expiring dates and cleaning the store well. This is a great food store!”

“Been shopping at Heron foods in Leigh for many years! Lovely selection of foods. Excellent bargains to be had. All staff are brilliant. Can't do enough to help. Daniel Orr always goes above & beyond the call of duty. A very quiet Lad. But likeable cortious & kind. Always point's me in the right direction when i can't find what I'm looking for. Great kid altogether.”

“Sadly, I didn’t get the girls name who served me at the click and collect yesterday. It was around 6pm, and she was helping a newer member of staff train. She was very nice and really polite and helpful when I couldn’t remember my postcode and I had to log back on. Thank you !”

“Well organised with nice wide aisles. Now has SmartShop so you can do your own scanning into your own bags which saves time. The range of vegetables and fruit seems to be somewhat reduced: could be seasonal but have noticed it during the summer as well.Of course there's the national/global problem of chocolate bars getting smaller but that's not Sainsbury's problem alone.”

“Sainsbury's in Leigh is a very good location, it is a large supermarket forming part of the Parsonage Retail Park. While I wasn't able to get the item I came in for, I was pleased with the selection overall, I found them to be one of the better supermarkets in the area for overall choice/selection in both grocery and home, the store had a nice, modern feel to it too which I liked. There is also an upstairs area with a Cafe and Clothing Section, so the store is HUGE. I do think the staff could have had better knowledge of where to find items, after asking someone where to find something, I later found out we were in the wrong area of the store and they didn't stock it anyway, he did seem super friendly though. The worst part about this store for me was they seemed to have blockages down every aisle from warehouse cages to even a warehouse truck, it seemed to be in the worst possible positions, luckily the store was large so this didn't have a huge effect, but it felt like I was in the middle of a construction site in parts of the store. My checkout experience was quick and easy using Sainsbury's Smartshop, it would have been good to see them have more bags at the front of the store in order to support this. 4* - Very good supermarket in Leigh, it is spacious and modern with a fairly good selection of most items.”
