“It's a Lidl, so its hard to fault, It is what it is, a discount store. Its own linked brands are always cheaper than that of the competition & most are usually cheaper too. Ok, its not an M & S, but it doesn't pretend to be. It's alround products are excellent & its fresh fruit & vegetables are as good as anyones. The Rawtstall shop may not be the biggest branch, but it has all the necessities most people would need & its fresh bakery? Well it's simply excellent!”

“So on my way to work I randomly popped into Herons foods to grab myself a drink and really impressed to be honest.I wasn't expecting much as it is a discount food store but plenty of variety of stock across the board, Well presented shelves and stock, Store is bigger than it looks.Spotlessly clean, Self service tills, Manned tills, polite and friendly staff, Extremely competitive prices.5☆”

“Absolutely brilliant, Rabida, Imran and Abdullah were very friendly and welcoming, they had a relaxed manner and were also funny which made the whole experience enjoyable especially at this time of the evening. “This is quite a large store with a food hall department. Good range of clothing and some homewares.. It's in the middle of the Rock, Next to the Range. Parking is either in The Rock carpark, or the Millgate.”

“Was always my fave supermarket, but i moved away, so when I revisited recently I was not too enamored with the new layout the place just did not flow as previously, too many tall fridges & freezers & I struggled to find what I wanted, then to be greeted by the damn self checkouts thoroughly ruined my visit. I guess there are more Aldi stores upgraded to the same spec now. So that's me finished with Aldi unfortunately ? on the upside still very cheap & plenty of car parking”

“Fair prices always get what you need, staff are helpful, lots of bargains, xmas was exciting with lots of named products it wasa pleasure to visit ,as will Easter. Its a shame it isnt bigger with a cafe, pluss toilets , Aldi is always a pleasure to visit, the first time I visited a Aldi store was 1971 in Frankfurt Germany and thought then how good it would be to have an Aldi in England and here I am with one right on my door step ?‍♀️ ?”

“Today I was in a situation that no one should ever be put in (unsolicited verbal abuse). But thanks to Karen who was working today, she helped me calm down and stayed with me until I felt safe. Needless to say she went above and beyond her duties and I felt completely comfortable around her. What an amazing woman to go out of her way to help a customer in distress. Honestly can't thank her enough. I really hope she sees this. Because she really made a difference to my day.”

“Although prices are higher than the big store, at local retail park, it is very convenient for an emergency shop. Staff are friendly, helpful, stocks are obviously smaller and parking can be a nightmare at busier times”

“Nice little store with friendly staff. Be careful in the carpark as many of the customers don't seem to understand what a double yellow line means and they NEED to be as close to the door as humanly possible.”

Most staff are decent but one or two leave a lot to be desired when it comes to politeness. “Lots of choice in the store, cash machine outside and a Costa machine inside. Queue for the checkouts always moves quickly and they bring on more tills at the first sign of the queues growing. Enough parking spaces available.”

After another 30 seconds he produces............ wait for it....... a phone!He then spends another thirty seconds scrolling through and through and through his phone.By this time I'm slumped onto the conveyor belt which fortunately was moving at the same speed he was!He looks up in triumph and waves the phone in the general direction of the card reader.Nothing.The lady levers the twonks arm down and uses the hand held to read the credit cardBut no......He was waving his Tesco card."£215" says the lady.He looks down at his phone.... again..... and I calculate if I have time to bob to Costa for a coffee.He starts scrolling..... again.... and scrolling. Another 30 seconds.He finds the credit card details and she again lowers his arm to the reader.........Relief.......but no....."Did it read the coupons?" The halfwit asks.I'm staring, incredulous and open mouthed at the moron now.Why, oh why, do people not appreciate that they do have to pay at the till? It's not a surprise. It happens every time ..... I do mean every time....... without fail...... ever.”

“Five stars for the brilliant staff for being so welcoming and happy to help at the asda opticians. They are very kind towards children.Apart from one sad lady who likes to make comments on customers' looks. Not nice.”

“A lot packed into this small store and well stocked. Had everything I needed. Ample parking. Cash machines available and also has click and collect shopping and also parcel pickup point.”

“I shop here every week and as I have to wait for my daughter to finish shopping I would sit on one of the benches at the tills. These have been removed and there is nowhere for an elderly person to sit and wait. Please return these benches. Everything else is great shopping at asda pilsworth”

Parking can be a little difficult at times, but it's location, with a chemists, butcher, greengrocer, and hair and beauty salon, in a pleasant, desirable neighborhood can make it a nice option rather than going in to Bury, or Ramsbottom.”
