Before lockdown the menu was extensive with panini, focaccias etc .Now, for a vegetarian wanting a sandwich lunch, only one is available. For some inexplicable reason the egg sandwich was removed although it remains on the afternoon tea menu. The soup which used to be good is now thin and tasteless. I recently visited Squires in Twickenham as my local Squires sadly does not have a very large selection of indoor plants. The quality of plants was very good- not always the case in garden centres that mainly focus on outdoor plants. All the staff were helpful, including the cafe staff. Squire’s Garden Centre, Twickenham originally opened in 1964 and was the first centre to be opened by Squire’s, as well as being one of the first garden centres to be built in the UK. This centre was awarded the UK Plant retailer of the year in 2012, 2015 and 2016. It's also just 200 metres from Fulwell train station.
