“Contrary to the prevailing tone of the other reviews, I've found the staff to be friendly and efficient - and today, they were super-helpful, so it's 5 stars from me.”

“HELPFUL LOCAL POST OFFICEToday I had an extraordinarily helpful word with the lovely woman who runs this Post Office - a personal local favourite of mine, and always ready to have a sweet chat with me when I go in.Today, I encountered a very upset young man on the road when I asked to pet his gorgeous dog, which I discovered to a formal disabilty support dog to him: a gorgeous gentle Great Dane. This young man was distraught because this Post Office had taken issue with him bringing his lovely gentle Great Dane onto the premises - into the queue and so forth. This lovely - and very upset - young man explained to me that he is, indeed, allowed to go everywhere in the UK, into any facility, property and business, with his support dog as he is entitled to do so under the terms of the UK Disability Act 2010, including, indeed, taking this support dog on a recent Air France flight to Paris. His dog is not a traditional pet - the dog is a disability living support animal required by medical neccessity to be with the animal's owner at all times.I visited the Post Office on his behalf and explained this to the lovely woman who runs it. She and I had a lovely, careful and kind conversation about this young man's needs and disability rights, under the law.She has assured me she now fully understands his right to enter the Post Office with his medical support dog, and he will be welcomed there, by all staff members, in future.I thank you again - to this lovely Post Office Owner/ Manager - for your kindness, openness and willingness to correct what was a terribly upsetting experience for a vulnerable local resident. My very best wishes,Nicola :)”

“I’m going to be completely honest.I have been going to this post office since 2021- frequently about 2-3 times a week. Some days it’ll be completely empty and other times it will be busy. HOWEVER, the people working there can’t help that they’re understaffed as clearly they aren’t in charge of hiring people? I’ve had to queue 20 mins before but some people just have to have patience and be polite. I’ve never had a problem with the staff- they’ve always helped me carry my parcels, always been polite and helpful. What I’ve actually seen is customers being rude and snappy at them for issues that are out of their control E.g. machine isn’t working or they’re understaffed. From just observing the last few years, it is definitely the customers that come across as rude- I’ve even had people push in front of me etc and the staff have told them to go to the back of the line. Clearly is just people not treating others with kindness.”
