Stock is just a mess. Styles and sizes all jumbled up, have to spend ages looking through everything to see if they actually have what you want or need. It's a charity shop experience with high street prices. Not worth the effort

Unfortunately, I have just had a very uncomfortable experience with a staff member at the New Malden branch of Next. I am a frequent visitor to the store & normally find the staff to be very helpful & friendly.This was definitely not my experience on this occasion. I was returning a pair of sandals that I had purchased for my daughter just a couple of weeks ago.The sandals had broken at the back after only been wore a handful of times.I purchased the sandals on the Next Directory & didn?t think to keep the delivery note, as every time I have returned an item to store from the Directory the delivery note has not been needed.I understand that with a faulty item proof of purchase would be needed, however I was confident that the sales assistant would be more than happy to help me locate the item through the in store on line system.However, when I explained the situation to Emily, the sales assistant at New Malden she couldn?t be more unhelpful.Her manner was accusatory & she demanded that I find the item on my account using my phone instead of just entering the number printed on the inside of the sandals into her till. Instead I was left awkwardly standing at the till trawling through my account trying to locate the item.By this point there had been no apology made for the fact that the item I had purchased had broken in such a short amount of time & instead I was made to feel like I had done something wrong.I managed to locate the sandals on my account, however they seem to be in the system as a different size, I only purchased one pair of these sandals, so I?m not quite sure why this would be the case.This only seemed to fuel Emily?s suspicion of me, who instead of being kind & helpful just stood in silence staring at me.After enduring this curt, rude & unhelpful behaviour from Emily, she quickly printed off a faulty sticker from her till, bagged the item up & told me the amount would go back onto my account.This would suggest that the process could have been dealt with this way from the beginning.I considered myself to be a good & loyal customer of Next, I purchase a lot of items from the Directory, including large items such as furniture.I use my Next Directory account most months to purchase items & it is always paid off on full.I have no reason to con or swindle my way out of paying £35 for a pair sandals for my daughter.Instead of being treated like a valued customer I was made to feel humiliated & quite frankly like a criminal!I always treat sales staff politely & with kindness, I appreciated that their job is not always easy.In the past I have found the sales staff at the New Malden branch of Next to be very polite & more than willing to help, sadly on this occasion I experienced the opposite from Emily.I would suggest that Emily take a refresher course in customer service or at the very least take & few tips from her colleagues.One final note to say that not once was I offered an apology for the faulty item.

Good selection of products, while some of the staff members on 1st floor seems to be really bored and tired from working here - when on 12Aug we asked to show us the item in the box (holder for vegetables) that wasn?t on the display, he suggested to pay for it without us looking at it, bring to our home and if we wouldn?t like it to bring it back and ask for a refund :)))) (brunet male salesperson with the name that started with ?A? on the badge)

Absolutely awful experience with Lidia on the till. Kept chatting for over 5 minutes to a lady she was serving with a huge queue waiting to be served, even though the items were paid long before. This was 8.45pm and the store was quite busy closing.Some staff are lovely but others are just awful and plain rude, clearly lacking basic manners. The manager I spoke to this evening even commented that this was not the first complaint regarding Lidia and she had been spoken to numerous times regarding her attitude.This is not the first time, they lose parcels ordered online regularly in the store, it has happened to me several times in the last few months. I?d rather drive to a different store several miles away than visit this store.

Had an awful shopping experience in Next, New Malden.Bought (or tried to!) several sale items only to be told by a very rude shop assistant (Orla) at checkout that they were full price. Despite being taken from a Sale basket, and despite a second assistant agreeing with me, Orla insisted the items were not on sale and seemed to take pleasure in making me feel stupid. Since coming home I can see on the brand?s own website these items are on sale. So basically a person at checkout needed to exercise a petulant need to make me feel stupid. Very disappointed.

All the jeans they sell cant even do one wash on 30c they all come out with permanent dye lines that go all the way down the back of the leg in a line that ends in an iverted y shape like a permanent different coloured crease.Absolute disgrace bought 6 pairs jeans and all 6 were ruined after 1 wash.Avoid their denim like the plague you cant wash them they will spoil the same happens with m&s denim so I guess they are the same bad non tested product made in the same factory with the same cheap dye.Cant believe they are even allowed to sell them their jeans CANNOT be washed even once they will utterly spoil.I feel completely ripped off to the point I want to take them to a small claims court.

I like coming to this next because it is near the big tesco and has easy and free on site parking and never seems to be busy. The opening hours are generous too - 9 to 9 on week days which means I can after work without rushing. There is a Costa on site too for your quick coffee fix. There are plenty of charge points too if you have an electric vehicle. All it needs now is a post box...
